Greetings Lumens!

We're thrilled to have launched LumenTale: Memories of Trey yesterday, and we're so excited to see how hyped the community has been in the 24 hours since launch!

However, unfortunately, some players have had issues getting stuck in the Area 01 section of the game.

Today's Hotfix has been put together by the dev team to resolve this issue, as well as a few other bits, thanks to the community's support, bug reporting and help in trying to diagnose the problem!

Hotfix Patch notes!

Fixed an issue where the player may not be able to interact with Lumen in Area 01.
Fixed an issue where re-entering Area 01 after encountering the above issue produced an infinite loading screen.
Fixed an issue where the player cannot click on map interactables if they are covered by the quest area indicator
Fixed an issue where regional variants of Animon were appearing in the 'Local Animon' section of the map, in areas where they cannot be obtained.
Fixed an issue where Piercing Gust does not work as described.
Fixed an issue where the game can softlock in the Stat menu while in Quick Anispace.

We hope that this hotfix will help you out on your adventures across Talea with Trey and his friends and Animon!

Why make it a 'choice' when the game is going to ignore it after?

So I went north route and just after going back to Iris, I was sent to the south route and the interactions between the characters and all the plots are like the first half of the game didn't even happend... Which is what would happend if I had choosen the south route. So, why make it a choice when the game is just ignoring half the game happend anyway and make a very VERY poorly constructed plotline in the middle?...

Hoverbord softlock

I can’t use the Hoverboard ( I am on steam deck ) when I got the item I could use it but after a couple of minutes it stopped working. L3 works on my device but I remapped the button and it still won’t work. I ignored it and continued with the story but now I need it to get across the water, I am currently unable to play the game due to this....

Let me just list out the negative points first.

1. Unskippable cutscenes
2. Unskippable battle animations
3. can't fastforward battle animations either.
4. Need to hold down button to run.
5. 'HM system' is not good, you have to constantly switch between mons of different type to clear roadblocks, and they respawns too.
6. Some dialogue get skipped automatically even though no button is pressed, happens rarely.

IF you can get past these, it's a decent game.
Nice mon designs.

'pokedex' systems shows mons detail, from stats range to movesets, and most evolutions, even hidden typing.

I'd rate this an 8/10.
If the dev actually 'fixes' the negative, this would be a 10/10 easily.

I wanted to like this game, but the prologue lost me (Spoilers)

My Thoughts On The Prologue Let me start out by saying I really wanted to like this game, but there’s just too much I don’t like about it currently. This is going to be a bit of a long yap fest focusing on story and game mechanics up until the end of the demo/prologue, so if you’re looking for something short then avert ye eyes. Great Game, Great Monster Collector. I really hope they add DLC content for new areas and Animon to expand the world.

Ignore the negatives about bugs and infinite loading in area 1 etc. Dev's hotfixed it within 24hrs of release already.

game's good but you can softlock yourself six ways to sunday - i have never had so much trouble trying to play a game as i have this one. you can usually warp to a Lumen Club to at least resolve getting stuck, but the door to the temple grounds failed to open when i tried gathering the pieces of the symbol for the slot, meaning i'm completely stuck until it gets patched. this is the sixth softlock i've experienced, another of which caused me to lose a lost animon:
* dropped off a ledge near the forest town with no way to get back
* stuck in a cave
* fell into lava, unable to do anything when i respawned at a fountain (this was where I lost the lost animon)
* when i left the port town prior to the Match, the game would not let me enter the city again as there was an invisible wall
* entered a battle with a seahorse and the game just stopped / gave up - i was stuck in a 1v1 with no option to use a move
* the temple door failing to open, where i'm stuck until further notice

other points:
+ really solid creature designs across the board
+ strong art design throughout
+ shout out to trey moving decently fast, only for them to give you an even faster means of transportation as you progress
+ the holoken is a fun, simple way to engage with mons in the overworld (easy exp / material farms as your team gets stronger)

~ story is certainly there
~ ales is certainly there
~ if you take a hard left when you first reach area 1 you can find level 30+ mons (and even some that are level 47-48 in a cave) which can break your progression if you start with mythos; this isn't even the most egregious example of this
~ why is there so much pasta

- game bizarrely chugs on world map and menu screens
- ui is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
- 64 save slots, but weirdly enough your save is locked to the slot you picked, so no safety saves for the massive amount of softlocks present
- evolutions can be cryptic to the point of annoyance
- having to change mons to matching elements for the yoyo is annoying
- game is hella obtuse on not cluing in the player on anything

♥♥♥♥ gets fixed and its a solid thumbs up, until then though i kinda regret buying for how much time i've wasted dealing with its technical issues
