Maybe this makes me sound like a crazy person but the more time passes the more I’m convinced that the way someone reacts to furries is a litmus test for what kind of person they are. And I feel pretty justified in this bc conservatives have made them part of their culture war. Like you’ve got mainstream media convincing a bunch of boomers of the litter boxes in schools hoax. It’s just another iteration of moral panic over society becoming degenerate or whatever. Obv not everyone who’s shitty about furries is doing it for hitlerite reasons but I think it shows how easily a person can become comfortable being cruel to socially and/or sexually deviant groups of people if it’s socially acceptable to do so, or how easily they can be pressured into that cruelty by a fear of ridicule

“Lie close,” Laura said,
Pricking up her golden head:
“We must not look at goblin men,
We must not buy their fruits:
Who knows upon what soil they fed
Their hungry thirsty roots?”
A wolf goes for a walk in the woods and meets a dog for the first time
Currently obsessed with these naturalistic illuminations from a manuscript of De Proprietatibus Rerum (1447, Bibliothèque d'Amiens, ms. 399). I just know that whoever commisioned this must have hired the nearest autistic artist with an insane obsession for birds before proper birdwatching was even a thing. They hired the nearest De arte venandi cum avibus fanboy.
Like, the fact that despite the stylized drawings you can clearly tell that these are a corvus corax, a corvus cornix and a corvus corone?! Hello?!?!
I love you, unknown french artist from the 15th century.

just realized i never posted this here - @sakrafka this is the school thing i was asking about btw. we had to combine two artists styles so i picked you and @/skullbird. also a good excuse to use the pack of greyscale markers that’ve been rotting in my drawer for several years now.
