Wake up, samurai: AK Mod created an incredible Cyberpunk 2077 themed ROG Xbox Ally X

Hero

When cutting-edge hardware collides with iconic cyberpunk mythology, something extraordinary happens. The ROG Xbox Ally X is already the bleeding edge of handheld PC gaming: raw power, unapologetic performance, and a design built for the best games of today and tomorrow. Pair it with the dystopian vision of Cyberpunk 2077, and the line between Night City and the real world starts to blur.

This extremely customized ROG Xbox Ally X isn’t just themed hardware — it’s world-building rendered in silicon, grime, and defiance. And it’s almost impossibly rare, with only three in existence.

Cradled by Johnny Silverhand himself

At the heart of this one-of-a-kind creation is an unmistakable symbol of rebellion: Johnny Silverhand’s cybernetic arm.

Chosen for far more than its futuristic looks, the prosthetic captures the core ethos of Cyberpunk 2077: resistance, raw power, and the uneasy harmony between humanity and machine. This is a statement piece for gamers who see technology not as a tool, but as an extension of their identity with a bit of punk rock rebellion deep within.

Engineering this vision demanded precision as much as passion. The ROG Xbox Ally X is grasped by Johnny’s iconic chrome arm, balanced to look effortless while remaining rock-solid in the stand's sturdy design. There is only one Johnny Silverhand, but we partnered with AK Mod to create three of these incredible builds, with the goal of putting one into the hands of a true Cyberpunk 2077 superfan.

A true artist at work

Resized painting

One glance tells you this ROG Xbox Ally X didn’t roll off a factory line. Master craftsman AK Mod combined layered spray paints, specialized weathering techniques, and custom water decals to make both the device and its pedestal feel like they were pulled straight out of Night City. Sand and salt were applied in targeted areas to produce organic wear, making the final product feel natural, imperfect, and definitely dystopian. (We have to imagine Johnny Silverhand would approve.)

Every scratch, scuff, and trace of patina was intentional. The bold yellow neon finish wrapping the ROG Xbox Ally X will feel instantly familiar to anyone who’s cruised Night City after dark, while subtle nods to Johnny Silverhand’s guitar are worked into the base for fans paying close attention.

The result is functional art, where ROG’s aggressive design language meets the brutal beauty of the Cyberpunk 2077 universe. Hats off to AK Mod — this project pushes customization into another league.

Serious cyberware

The ROG Xbox Ally X may not come from Arasaka Industries, but its performance feels like it belongs in Cyberpunk 2077. Powered by the AMD Ryzen™ AI Z2 Extreme processor with AMD Radeon™ Graphics, the ROG Xbox Ally X delivers uncompromising performance across your entire library, whether you’re playing locally, streaming from your Xbox, or jumping in via the cloud. The Xbox full screen experience puts your games front and center instantly, with no boot menus or launchers standing in the way.

With console‑familiar controls and ergonomics designed for long sessions, the ROG Xbox Ally X is built to let you settle in and stay locked in. It was the only handheld powerful and bold enough to deserve a pedestal this special.

A legendary artifact

Resized gaming

This collaboration between CD Projekt Red, AK Mod, and ROG celebrates a modern classic that reshaped the genre. From unforgettable characters to iconic locations, Cyberpunk 2077 feels alive the moment you wake up in Night City.

Johnny Silverhand’s chrome hand gripping our most powerful handheld is the ultimate fusion of cutting-edge hardware and an unwavering refusal to bow to the powers that be. To celebrate the creation of this incredible piece of art, ROG is giving away a copy of Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition on May 21st — and stay tuned to Cyberpunk 2077’s InstagramX, and Facebook for even more coming soon.
