ROG faithful everywhere shared their Dare-to-ROG stories with us, and you voted on your favorites. We reflected on the always-evolving story of PC gaming in a series of articles telling the story of 20 years of game-changing innovation. The ROG Crosshair X870E Edition 20 gaming motherboard and ROG Ryujin 360 Edition 20 AIO CPU liquid cooler make a dynamic duo

ROG burst onto the scene in 2006 with a revolutionary AMD motherboard, so it’s only fitting that we kick off the next twenty years with another AMD board. Benefiting from the legacy of decades of innovation while offering refinements all its own, the ROG Crosshair X870E Edition 20 gaming motherboard is a statement piece, unique collectable, and a gaming powerhouse all rolled into one.

The ROG Crosshair X870E Edition 20 builds on design elements you might recognize from the ROG Crosshair X870E Glacial, but with contrasting aesthetic and incredible CPU cooling options. Starting with the visual design, this EATX motherboard features a predominantly ROG Black colorway with beautifully integrated ROG Red, Crystal Lens, and Radiant Gold elements. Advanced cooling creates some incredible possibilities. The ROG Crosshair X870E Edition 20 travels back in time to when copper was king, using pure copper heatsinks to tame the temperatures of the VRM. The backplate is a full three millimeters thick. More than a decoration, it serves as a powerful heatsink for all the heat-producing integrated circuits on the motherboard. And for premium SSD cooling, the first M.2 slot features a 3D VC M.2 Heatsink that enjoys a larger heat dissipation area thanks to a 3D vapor chamber. 

The cooling solution built into the ROG Crosshair X870E Edition 20 is remarkable on its own, but we designed it to go even further with the ROG Ryujin 360 Edition 20 AIO CPU liquid cooler. In fact, these two components will be sold together in a bundle.

More than just providing an incredible unboxing experience, putting this motherboard and AIO CPU cooler in the same box allowed us to do something truly special with their design. The full-width copper thermal deck of ROG Ryujin 360 Edition 20 is specially crafted to cool the entire VRM area of the motherboard in addition to the CPU, ensuring exceptional thermal performance and system stability even under heavy workloads. It integrates the Asetek EMMA Gen10 V3Rx pump, which aligns directly with CPU hotspots through a 99.95% high-purity copper block. At the same time, its 7-blade asymmetrical impeller reduces perceived noise for a cleaner acoustic profile, while ensuring up to 50,000 hours of proven reliability.

Put all that together, and you have a recipe for chart-topping thermal performance. We put the ROG Crosshair X870E Edition 20 and the ROG Ryujin 360 Edition 20 to the test against another potent pairing: the ROG Crosshair X870E Glacial and the ROG Ryujin III 360 ARGB Extreme. Both configurations were equipped with an AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D2, which we absolutely hammered with a full hour of Prime95. The Glacial and the Ryujin III 360 ARGB Extreme did just fine in this test, as you’d expect from top-shelf ROG hardware. But when we swapped in the Edition 20 motherboard and AIO CPU liquid cooler, we observed 9.61% lower CPU temperatures, 39.59% lower PCB temperatures, and 48.07% lower MOSFET temperatures.

We’ve even streamlined the process of installing these components and achieving a clean look. When you mount the cooler in place, the AIO Q-Connector pins make contact with a corresponding module on the motherboard. Through these direct metal contact points, the ROG Ryujin 360 Edition 20 receives power and control signals for the pump, ARGB elements, and the display. You won’t even need to connect any cables for the radiator fans. The AIO Q-Connector passes along the PWM signals they need through a cable that’s hidden inside the tube sleeving. 

The display itself is worth a closer look. The Swivel Dual 6.67" AMOLED LCD tilts effortlessly with two pistons so that you can get a clear view of the screen no matter how you set up your PC. ASUS InfoHub Edition 20 gives you perfect control over the visuals, allowing you to activate Display Sync-Up Mode, which synchronizes animations across the built-in displays on your ROG Edition 20 gear.

The ROG Astral GeForce RTX 5090 Edition 20 dazzles with a curved AMOLED display and beefed-up cooling

The celebrate the 20^th Anniversary of the Republic of Gamers, we’re also unveiling a special new entry into our high-performance ROG Astral graphics card series. Meet the ROG Astral GeForce RTX 5090 Edition 20.
