There were days when I felt completely overwhelmed and wondered if I was actually ready for the exam. For over half a decade, the fear of failure stopped me from pursuing this milestone, especially coming from a GRC background rather than active network support. After years of postponing, I finally locked in and completed my actual preparation in just 45 days. During the exam, I felt completely uncertain. I didn't even look at the printout at the center—I just folded it, put it in my bag, and headed home. It wasn't until a Gmail notification popped up with "Your ISC2 CISSP Exam - Next Steps" a familiar format from my ISC2 CC exam that the reality hit me. I am still pinching myself! I am deeply grateful to God for guidance, to my parents for their unwavering support, and to my siblings and friends for their incredible trust. I also owe a massive thank you to the incredible mentors and resources that made a 45-day crunch possible: Luke Ahmed 🚀 : "How to Think Like A Manager" is truly the best book out there. Destination Certification Inc..: For free mobile app and YouTube videos. I have started now with preparation of AAISM from the app. ISC2 OSG - I was not able to read it completely but referred it time and again specially on topics where I had issues during preparation test. I utilized the online test platform with completing 4 Full question set, 20 question for each chapter and official practice set with 100 questions each domain. For practice test I completed LearnZapp's all 2253 questions with 85% Readiness score. Last 10 days when I took study leave and only studied topics and did practice questions. I broke down on networking questions(i went too deep , was my mistake). Last 3 days were more of revision reading through my notes/sticky notes , lot more of prep question and a few YouTube videos. The kit arrived today, and holding the certificate made it feel real in a way the pass screen didn't. Eight domains, months of study, and a lot of early mornings and late nights fitted around a full-time job. What surprised me most wasn't the difficulty of the material — it was how much the CISSP changes the way you think. It pushes you out of the technical weeds and asks you to reason like a risk manager: what are we actually protecting, what is it worth, and what does the business need from us. That shift in perspective has been more valuable than any single fact I memorized. A sincere thank you to ISC2 for building and maintaining a certification that genuinely raises the bar for our profession, and for the support throughout the process, from exam registration to endorsement. The Code of Ethics that comes with this credential is something I take seriously, and I'm proud to join a community of professionals who do the same.
