Work With Me

A small number of commissions a year.

Unit RW / 26 Type Designer-Director Status Open, selective Scale Solo + tools

Same method as everything else on this site: I direct, and the tools implement. I take on a small number of projects a year, in the three places where this division of labor holds. The design judgment is mine. The implementation is fast and cheap because the tools got good.

    Custom voice & persona models

A small open model fine-tuned to one register: a historical figure, a brand, a house style, your own notes. The Elect is the public demonstration, trained on public-domain text with clear provenance. You bring the corpus. I direct the training, and I decide what stays in and what gets cut. The output carries your register, not the model's defaults.

    AI workflow & automation builds

Automation for the unglamorous parts of a workflow: email triage, intake routing, template-driven document generation, scheduled follow-ups. I build the system, write the documentation, and run a handover until your team operates it alone. I operate AI agents. I do not write traditional code. The architecture is GeneralStaff, the framework I run my own work on: thirty-plus projects under a reviewer gate that rejects about one change in ten before it ships.

  3. Price$400 to $800 TermsHalf up front RunsIn your browser
    Digital wargame modules

The wargame you own, playable in a browser. Rules enforced by an engine, bookkeeping and chart lookups automated, hotseat play with hidden information masked, and a computer opponent in the price. Seven commissions for four clients since July. Monster games quoted per project. Private builds for owners of the print game; designers and publishers can opt out.

    Game-design consultation

System design, rules audits, development, editorial passes. Tabletop and digital. Conflict Simulations is more than two dozen published wargames since 2017, three Charles S. Roberts nominations, and a release through Multi-Man Publishing. One of my AI tools found structural gaps in an already-published rulebook that human playtesting had missed.
