PlayStation To Eliminate 1,000 More Shovelware Games From Store

A new announcement reveals that a publisher with the third-most games on the PlayStation Store, mostly shovelware, will be removed from the platform soon.

PlayStation has been bringing the hammer down on shovelware games and publishers pretty heavily this year. The store already saw more than 1,000 games removed in January 2026, followed by another wave of delistings in April. Now, another major publisher with over 1,000 games will be removed.

PlayStation Cracks Down on Publisher with Third-Most Games On Store

A report published earlier this year revealed that Webnetic, the publisher linked to the recent delisting of shovelware games on the PlayStation Store, had the third-most titles on the platform in January 2026, totaling 1,222. A new announcement from the publisher’s X account (formerly Twitter) confirms that their time on PlayStation is coming to an end, urging players to check out their games one last time before they are removed. However, Webnetic will continue to operate on Xbox, Nintendo, and Steam platforms.

Shovelware games typically fall into two categories: knockoffs of existing titles or trends, and games designed for easy trophy acquisition. Unfortunately, neither category is known for producing high-quality games. For instance, Webnetic’s library is populated with mobile games that you might encounter while scrolling through social media ads. Some of their recent releases include titles like Archerio, Panic House Awakening, and Parking Problem.

In other news, another PlayStation exclusive, Destruction AllStars, has been pulled from the PlayStation Store. Additionally, the Days of Play sale announcement reveals the PlayStation Plus monthly games and game catalog additions for June 2026.
