The journey I’m about to share wasn’t just about redesigning an app—it was about redefining how we build it from the ground up. Challenging the status quo 🧞♂️ Over the past year, we’ve doubled our Weekly Active Users! A huge milestone we’re very proud of. Still, as our community grew and new features were added, navigation became challenging, feature scale issues surfaced, and the app no longer reflected our evolving brand. After carefully listening to resident feedback, we redesigned the app to introduce new features, simplify navigation, and boost engagement even further. This led us to ask a pivotal question: Could we go beyond redesigning the app and rethink how we build and deliver it entirely? In the past years, we relied on mobile native development for iOS and Android, but this often left us grappling with platform gaps—features released at different times, inconsistent user experiences, and slower development cycles. We started considering moving to a cross-platform framework, but the decision wasn’t simple. It required deep research, collaboration, and tough decisions. We spoke with industry peers—companies that had switched from native to React Native, and those who had gone the other way. We studied everything from developer experience to performance benchmarks, focusing on metrics like development velocity, cross-platform consistency, UI performance, integration flexibility, and more. After extensive research and close collaboration, we chose to transition to React Native to develop our new app design. The outcome 📱 Today, we’re (gradually) releasing Daisy App 2.0 to the app stores. The new app, not only built cross-platform from scratch, is also packed with features that deliver the best building experience in NY: transparent request tracking, 24/7 live support, seamless payments, and connecting with neighbors through the message board and Marketplace—all contributing to a more engaged and happy community. A moment of gratitude 🙏 This journey wouldn’t have been possible without the incredible team that made it happen. A huge thank-you to the AMAZING Rotem Itzhak and Eyal Gofer for accepting the challenge and driving this huge project with dedication and excellence, Julia Smelansky for making magic happen with the design and making this app into something truly special. Yakir Agam הגיבו על זהYakir Agam הגיבו על זהיש מעט מאוד הזדמנויות בקריירה לראות משהו נבנה כמעט מההתחלה, ועוד פחות הזדמנויות לדעת שהידיים שלך נמצאות בכל כך הרבה חלקים ממנו. אני תכף חוגגת 3 וחצי שנים ב-Guardio, וכשהצטרפתי הייתי מעצבת המוצר הראשונה בצוות. בשנה הראשונה שלי נגעתי כמעט בכל אזור במוצר: מובייל, דסקטופ, Growth, onboarding ועוד המון דברים שבדרך. הכרתי את המוצר מקצה לקצה, עבדתי עם אנשים מצוותים שונים וראיתי איך הכול מתחבר. וזה היה ממכר. ככל שהכרתי יותר, רציתי להיות מעורבת ביותר. ואז Guardio גדלה. נבנו צוותים חדשים, הצטרפו עוד מעצבי מוצר, תחומי האחריות התרחבו והמוצר הפך להרבה יותר עמוק ומורכב. ופתאום הייתי צריכה ללמוד משהו שלא ציפיתי לו: לשחרר. אזורים שפעם הייתי חלק מהם ביום יום הפכו לאחריות של אנשים אחרים, ואני עברתי מלהיות קצת בכל מקום ללהתעמק ולהשפיע יותר באזורים שאני נמצאת בהם היום. בהתחלה זה היה מוזר, אבל עם הזמן הבנתי שזה אחד הסימנים הכי יפים לצמיחה: משהו שפעם אדם אחד יכול היה להחזיק הופך לעולם שלם, עם צוות ומומחיות שנבנים סביבו. יש סיפוק מטורף בלהסתכל על המוצר שהצטרפתי אליו לפני 3 וחצי שנים, לראות כמה הוא השתנה ולדעת שיש לי חלק משמעותי בדרך שהוא עבר. ולמה אני מספרת את כל זה עכשיו? כי אנחנו ממשיכים לגדול ומחפשים אנשים רעבים וסקרנים. כאלה שלא עוצרים בגבולות של הטייטל שלהם, שרוצים להבין איך הכול מתחבר, לקחת אחריות ולהשפיע. ואחרי כמעט 3 וחצי שנים, אני עדיין גאה להיות חלק ממה שאנחנו בונים כאן. אז אם אתם מהאנשים האלה, אנחנו מחפשים אתכם 💚 לינק למשרות - https://lnkd.in/dFt-wzFd בתמונה - אני לא נוגעת ב-AI, יפה שלי. לא נוגעת ב-AI בכלל. Yakir Agam אהבתי את זהYakir Agam אהבתי את זהAfter our SecuriTea Iced Matcha pop-up during RSAC in San Francisco, we brought it to Black Hat Vegas and built our SecuriTea Soft Serve Lab, obsessing over every detail. My view on booths has always been different. Behind every badge is not just a title, it's a person. I'm not creating a booth experience for the job title, the persona in my head. I make it for the human behind it, always thinking about what they'd actually want to experience and how they'd want to be treated. When you build for the person, not the title, you obsess over things no one expects you to. How it looks, how it feels to stand in, what it tastes like, what people take home. The tailored team apparel. The soft serve we re-tweaked until it tasted amazing, with real organic dried fruit on top. The Japanese jazz. The scent in the air. The real plants I insisted on. And above it, a huge mirrored Clover logo reflecting the whole scene down. The swag was its own obsession, high quality, the kind you'd actually use. Genius enamel pins and stickers, our epic weekender bag, the Rimowa x Clover suitcase, even a "This is not a Black Hat" green cup. Nobody saw the usual giveaway. They saw something they'd keep. Even the menu was pure Clover. Beauty shots on the screen, and a menu built around our product pillars, so to order, you had to speak our language: Agentic base, Threat Modeled, Full Context. No hard sell, people just left speaking Clover Security. When did a brand last treat you like a person, not a persona?

In the middle of it all, Cruz Roja Venezolana did something remarkable. They didn't just respond to the emergency in front of them — they used the moment to transform how they respond altogether. Our Emergency Response Team arrived at their Emergency Operations Center (EOC) days after the Earthquakes, while mobilizing volunteers, staffing a field hospital, and reaching families across the country. During this time, they also rebuilt the backbone of their entire operation, moving from chaos to a fully digitized EOC, in the middle of the crisis. The impact of that response in the first weeks: - 7,600 medical attendances - 5,700+ families reached - 3,150 people with access to clean water - 1,500+ volunteers mobilized across every sector But what's most inspiring is the mindset behind it. Facing a national-scale emergency, they chose not only to act fast, but to become faster, more organized, and more agile for every response still to come — giving their leadership real-time visibility in the field, to help prioritize where help is needed most. Grateful to have supported the Venezuelan Red Cross on this journey.

Great features don’t matter if people can’t use them. Usability is just as critical for growth as functionality - even in complex spaces like SaaS B2B cybersecurity. A product that’s powerful but hard to use won’t scale. Usability isn’t a “nice-to-have”; it’s a growth driver in its own right. Question for Israeli businesses: Will your customers stay satisfied when AI handles the first mile, and the last mile, or only one of them? When I face these challenges, I turn to my friend Chris Dyer, a culture expert, tech CEO, and three-time bestselling author. Here is what he told me works, based on his experience with NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration, Johnson & Johnson, Citi, and Berkshire Hathaway. AI can lower cost to serve, shorten wait times, and scale 24x7. It does not guarantee growth or loyalty. Salesforce says AI agents now handle a large share of support, and about four thousand roles were removed, while the revenue outlook still softened. Learn the right takeaway: productivity is not valued by default.
