[Bug]: The notes editor seems very ‘flaky’ #997

Describe the bug

Click anywhere inside a document you want to edit, highlight text, move along with the arrow keys, your cursor disappears, causing you to click again to get it back.

To reproduce

1. Open a document.
2. Start editing or typing.
3. Highlight text, move on with the right arrow key
4. Cursor disappears
