Using the Guidepoint MCP Skill

Guidepoint provides a Skill package that helps AI assistants use the Guidepoint MCP server to search expert insights, cite sources, and summarize commentary clearly.

Important: Before using the Skill, make sure the Guidepoint MCP server is already set up and connected. The Skill helps the AI assistant use Guidepoint MCP more effectively, but it does not connect to MCP on its own.

The Skill package includes:

• SKILL.md — the main instruction file for the AI assistant
• Supporting files, if applicable, that provide additional usage patterns and examples

To use the Guidepoint MCP Skill in Claude:

1. Download the Skill package from the GitHub link above.
2. Open Claude.
3. Go to Customize > Skills.
4. Upload the Skill .zip file.
5. Make sure your Guidepoint MCP server is configured in Claude.
6. Start a new conversation and select the Skill when asking for expert commentary, practitioner views, market research, competitive analysis, or sector trend insights.

To use the Guidepoint MCP Skill in ChatGPT:

1. Download the Skill package from the GitHub link above.
2. Open ChatGPT.
3. From the lower-left menu, open Skills.
4. Click + New Skill.
5. Upload the Skill .zip file.
6. Start a new conversation.
7. Type /guidepoint-transcript-search.
8. Select the Skill, then enter your research question.
