Brief summary: This page is ancient and had been written at a time where the standards were much lower.
It suffers from awkward and generally scarce explanations, barely grazing at topics, no hyperlinks to other docs, and the cardinal sin of saying "basic" and "just" every so often.
Sure, it was rarely updated, but its contents barely did.
That's a general overview but I swear I could go on into detail if you inquired me.
This PR makes no changes to the general premise, as I personally do not have the knowledge nor the time to discuss having a whole other tutorial on making a tree shader.
Although, if someone could contribute new images, and maybe another tree model, it'd be nice?
