Add clarification for Godot.Collections.Dicitionary erase function in C# #12397
Your Godot version:
Latest stable (4.7.2) (issue true in all versions of docs as far as I can tell)
Issue description:
Godot Dictionary erase function is called with Remove in C#, which follows C# Dictionary conventions, but not GDScript -> C# conventions; I would expect this function to be called Erase in C#. Perhaps C# clarification would help.
I understand the logic of using Remove instead of Erase, but it's not documented, and it threw me for a loop as someone used to following the usual GDScript -> C# translation whereby functions share the same name but use different capitalisation. Not a problem so long as it's documented.
There's a link to the C# API differences page which then subsequently links to the Dictionary subsection of the C# collections page, as you've linked above. If this is the desired flow then no worries I guess, but I feel like a direct link would be better.

This is documented here which is linked at the top of the page for
Dictionary, we don't document each individual differencezachariahchandler commentedon Sep 23, 2026

That's a good point, currently the note is shared between all types but it could be made more specific, it's handled in these places:

Should be pretty straightforward to make specific cases for individual types
