Updates @browserbasehq/stagehand from 2.5.0 to 3.7.3

Release notes

Sourced from @browserbasehq/stagehand's releases.

@browserbasehq/stagehand@3.7.3

Patch Changes

@browserbasehq/stagehand@3.7.0

Minor Changes

  • #2283 871ca7e Thanks @seanmcguire12! - add context.setDomainPolicy({ allowedDomains: ["allowed.domain"] }) which allows users to define a set of domains that are accessible to stagehand

  • #2274 f31980f Thanks @seanmcguire12! - add context.setDomainPolicy({blockedDomains: ["some.domain"]}) which allows users to define a list of domains that will be blocked by stagehand

Patch Changes

  • #2305 cd1daad Thanks @shrey150! - Remove the noisy AI SDK "system message in messages" warning logged on every hybrid/DOM agent.execute() call.

  • #2328 d287ff4 Thanks @miguelg719! - Allow modelName "auto" in the constructor and per-primitive model overrides when running through the Stagehand API

  • #2294 3938590 Thanks @seanmcguire12! - automatically close popups that violate user defined domain policy

  • #2298 892701a Thanks @seanmcguire12! - Fix CUA keypress actions to press key combinations as a single chord.

  • #2345 21826c7 Thanks @monadoid! - Repair malformed UTF-16 snapshot text before it reaches model prompts.

  • #2306 8dcef1b Thanks @seanmcguire12! - Use the screenshot provider's declared media type when sending CUA image payloads. The setScreenshotProvider callback now returns ScreenshotProviderResult ({ base64, mediaType }) instead of a bare base64 string.

  • #2273 93a23d3 Thanks @miguelg719! - Add support for the new google/gemini-3.5-flash computer-use tools model

  • #2278 022d68f Thanks @shrey150! - Fix TypeError: Converting circular structure to JSON when creating an agent with MCP integrations that include a Client instance (e.g. a local/stdio server from connectToMCPServer). The agent-creation log serialized the raw integrations array, and a live MCP Client is circular. It now logs a safe descriptor (URL strings kept, client instances summarized) so agent({ integrations: [client] }) works.

  • #2288 bb5ffa6 Thanks @seanmcguire12! - clean up cdp session event handlers on target detach

@browserbasehq/stagehand@3.6.0

Minor Changes

Patch Changes

  • #2217 147e310 Thanks @monadoid! - Add Azure OpenAI Microsoft Entra ID model auth support.

  • #2231 cf3603d Thanks @miguelg719! - Add claude-fable-5 support: native structured outputs via the @ai-sdk/anthropic bump, adaptive thinking (including the new "xhigh" effort) on the agent path, the API's built-in server-side refusal fallback to claude-opus-4-8, and auto tool choice for the final done call on models that reject forced tool use.

  • #2233 8d7d414 Thanks @seanmcguire12! - Normalize URLs in ActCache key derivation by sorting query parameters before hashing. Semantically equivalent URLs that differ only in parameter order (e.g. ?utm_source=email&id=42 vs ?id=42&utm_source=email) now hit the cache instead of silently missing. Fragments and duplicate keys are preserved.

  • #2229 fd42e65 Thanks @seanmcguire12! - launch local browser with --enable-features=WebMCPTesting,DevToolsWebMCPSupport by default

  • #2220 a64c6b7 Thanks @monadoid! - Fix Stagehand-generated shadow-root XPath resolution so deterministic actions can target elements inside web components.

Updates zod-to-json-schema from 3.24.6 to 3.25.2

Changelog

Sourced from zod-to-json-schema's changelog.

Changelog

Version Change
3.25.2 Bumps the peer dependency of Zod 3 to 3.25.28 - Versions before patch 13 caused OOM issues and versions between that and 28 removed the /v3 import alias.
3.25.1 Fixes large install size due to accidental inclusion of test files. Thanks, Felix Mosheev!
3.25.0 Adds support for v3.25 and v3 through v4 (import { z } from "zod/v3"). Big thank you to both Andrey Gubanovs and especially to Faïz Hernawan Abdillah, whose more minimal implementation was merged. This will likely be the final release of zod-to-json-schema, as v4 now supports JSON schema natively.
3.24.6 Removed use of instanceOf to check for optional properties as differing package versions could produce intermittent bugs. Added OpenAiAnyType to work around their schema restrictions.
3.24.5 Update .npmignore to drop 2 mb of test files. Thanks Misha Kaletsky!
3.24.4 Added options to set the value of additionalProperties in objects and record
3.24.3 Adds postProcess callback option
3.24.2 Restructured internals to remove circular dependencies which apparently might cause some build systems to whine a bit. Big thanks to Víctor Hernández for the fix.
3.24.1 Adds OpenAI target
3.24.0 Implements new string checks (jwt, base64url, cidr ipv4/v6), matching the new Zod version
3.23.5 Module import hotfix by Enzo Monjardín. Thanks!
3.23.4 Fixes branded regex property names and a weird edgecase in arrays. Thanks to Isaiah Marc Sanchez and Mitchell Merry!
3.23.3 More tests (Thanks Brett Zamir!), removed dead code
3.23.2 Lazily loads Emoji regex to avoid incompatibility with some environments. Thanks Jacob Lee!
3.23.1 Best-effort RegEx flag support by Spappz! Some minor fixes and additions, such as the title option.
3.23.0 Adds support for base64, date, time, duration and nanoid string validations. A warm welcome and a big thanks to Colin, the creator of Zod, joining in as a contributor :)
3.22.5 Adds new z.date() parsing options and override callback
3.22.4 Adds fix for nullable references in OpenAPI mode
3.22.3 Adjust root path from "#/" to "#" according to RFC 6901
3.22.2 Adds "output" pipe strategy
3.22.1 Fixes broken imports when using some bundlers
3.22.0 Support readonly. Export both CJS and ESM. Export everything from index. Alternative map parser. Improved pattern handling and updated sources.
3.21.4 Fixes missing support for exact array length
3.21.3 Fixes issue #77 (Reference path to nullable schemas in Open-API mode)
3.21.2 Adds "integer" type Date output to support min/max checks, markdownDescription option, fixes "none" refStrategy by adding "seen" and adds an option to use "pattern" with Zods' email enum instead of "format".
3.21.1 New target (2019-09) along with improved intersection schemas, improved mutual recursion references in definitions, descriptions respected in union parser and not removed in collapsed
3.21.0 Added new string validations (ip, emoji, etc) and BigInt checks to support Zod 3.21
3.20.5 Added uniqueItems to Set and an option to disregard pipe schemas
3.20.4 Bugfixes and improved record parsing for openApi3
3.20.3 Added Cuid2 support introduced in Zod 3.20.3
3.20.2 Reintroduced conditional simplified return-type for when target is OpenAPI 3
3.20.1 Fixed inconsistent casing in imports
3.20.0 Adds support for Zod 3.20 with catch and pipe parser as well as new string validations. Refactored Ref handling; adding definitions no longer considered experimental. Main API function refactored and simplified; output type less defined but a lot easier to maintain. Doubt anyone will miss it. Narrator: Someone did in fact miss it
3.19.4 Adds custom error message support
3.19.3 Mark definitions as experimental in the readme
3.19.2 Added definitions option
3.19.1 Strict unions fix
3.19.0 No new features added in Zod, parity bump
3.18.2 Fixes support for native enums
3.18.1 Add strictUnions options
3.18.0 Added support for branded types
3.17.2 Fix for reference paths when supplying name option string.
3.17.1 Added startsWith and endsWith string checks. Merge multiple pattern checks into allOf array.
3.17.0 Added switch case handler for new trim "check". No changes to functionality.
3.15.x - 3.16.x Skipped: Did not change the Zod API in any way relevant for this package.
3.14.1 Dependabot security updates

Updates @cloudflare/vite-plugin from 1.13.4 to 1.66.0

Release notes

Sourced from @cloudflare/vite-plugin's releases.

@cloudflare/vite-plugin@1.66.0

Minor Changes

  • #16539 046db08 Thanks @petebacondarwin! - Update the development registry to use the canonical Cloudflare path

Upgrade Miniflare to 5.20261023.1-beta and Wrangler to 4.154.0. Vite plugin v1 now uses CLOUDFLARE_DEV_REGISTRY_PATH or <Cloudflare config directory>/dev-registry/v5 for Worker discovery. MINIFLARE_REGISTRY_PATH is no longer read. When mixing Vite and Wrangler development sessions, set the same CLOUDFLARE_DEV_REGISTRY_PATH for both because Wrangler retains its legacy default.

  • #16407 9ec1101 Thanks @petebacondarwin! - Support remote Hyperdrive bindings in Vite plugin v1 development and preview

Set remote: true on a Hyperdrive binding in wrangler.jsonc to connect to its deployed configuration without a local database connection string. The retained remote proxy exposes the binding's connection string and socket streams, and remote session cleanup preserves startup errors and shares one disposal attempt.

Patch Changes

  • #16542 ef573d4 Thanks @petebacondarwin! - Preserve machine-readable error properties from remote bindings

Enable enhanced error serialization on the remote proxy Worker used by Vite plugin v1. Combined with Miniflare 5.20261023.1-beta, remote binding errors retain properties such as code and numericCode so Worker code can handle them without parsing error messages.

  • #16480 ccaa34a Thanks @petebacondarwin! - Prevent malformed token-exchange responses from crashing remote binding startup

Update the Undici dependency bundled from the retained remote-bindings package to 7.30.1. Responses with excessive content encodings now reject without a later unhandled stream error when the server closes the connection early.

  • #16502 6f2eda1 Thanks @petebacondarwin! - Update the retained asset configuration validator to Zod 4.6.6

The Vite plugin validates _headers and _redirects through its private workers-shared package. Update that bundled copy to address excessive memory consumption when validating oversized collections.

  • #16444 79678c4 Thanks @petebacondarwin! - Update Vite plugin v1 to the October 23 Workers runtime

Use Miniflare 5.20261023.0-beta and the matching Wrangler release for local development and preview. Align bundled helpers and Workers types with this runtime, and use 2026-10-23 as the fallback compatibility date when none is configured. The runtime and helper updates also prevent malformed HTTP responses with excessive content encodings from causing unhandled stream errors. The published helpers also update their bundled Zod validator and fix Windows keyring setup for remote-binding credentials when the configuration path contains spaces.

  • #16479 1d5354b Thanks @petebacondarwin! - Treat cloudflare:durable-objects as a built-in runtime module

Workers can import retryable() from cloudflare:durable-objects to mark Durable Object methods as safe to retry. The plugin now leaves that import for the runtime to resolve, as it does for cloudflare:workers, instead of trying to resolve it as a package.

  • #16493 4ce6176 Thanks @petebacondarwin! - Preserve a Worker response's statusText in Vite dev and preview

Responses such as new Response(body, { status: 231, statusText: "Custom" }) now reach the browser as 231 Custom instead of 231 unknown. Empty status text is also preserved over HTTP/1.x.

  • #16501 109844e Thanks @petebacondarwin! - Preserve separate Set-Cookie request headers in Vite dev and preview

Workers now receive each incoming Set-Cookie value separately for HTTP requests and WebSocket upgrades, including values with commas in an Expires date. Previously, multiple values could be combined into one header.

  • #16503 ca116f9 Thanks @petebacondarwin! - Fix a dev server failing to start when an earlier dev server in the same process had different Worker exports

The Vite plugin now clears the Worker export types it detected when a dev server closes. A dev server created afterwards in the same process derives them from its own config again, so it no longer fails with Class extends value undefined for a Durable Object the earlier server's Worker did not export.

  • #16504 436fa9a Thanks @petebacondarwin! - Fix Vite DevTools WebSocket connections closing unexpectedly

Leave upgrades at /__devtools/__ws to Vite DevTools instead of forwarding them to the Worker. Sandbox preview requests continue to reach the Worker.

🛑 Significant concerns — The upgrade to Stagehand 3.7.3 breaks the example, which still calls the Stagehand 2 API (stagehand.page, page.act/extract) that its README says 3.x does not support. The move to zod 4 also likely gives wrong JSON schemas from zodToJsonSchema.

## BLOCKING (1)

### [Code Quality] Stagehand 2.5 → 3.7.3 is a breaking upgrade. The example still uses the v2 API (`stagehand.page`, `page.act`/`observe`/`extract`) and Playwright `Page`, and the README says 3.x is unsupported.
- **File:** packages/playwright-cloudflare/examples/stagehand/package.json:25

## WARNING (1)

### [Code Quality] With zod 4, `zodToJsonSchema(schema)` in `src/worker/workersAIClient.ts:38` likely produces an empty or wrong JSON schema for Workers AI structured output. Use `z.toJSONSchema` instead.
- **File:** packages/playwright-cloudflare/examples/stagehand/package.json:29

## INFO (1)

### [Documentation] `README.md:5-7` still says Stagehand 2.x, and that 3.x is unsupported, while `package.json` now declares 3.7.3.

📋 Code Quality: 🛑 1 blocking · 1 warning

Stagehand 2 → 3 and zod 3 → 4 are breaking upgrades, and the example code is not changed to match.

Recommendation: 🔴 Serious Concerns

  • [BLOCKING] Stagehand 2.5 → 3.7.3 is a breaking upgrade. The example still uses the v2 API (stagehand.page, page.act/observe/extract) and Playwright Page, and the README says 3.x is unsupported. (packages/playwright-cloudflare/examples/stagehand/package.json:25)
  • [WARNING] With zod 4, zodToJsonSchema(schema) in src/worker/workersAIClient.ts:38 likely produces an empty or wrong JSON schema for Workers AI structured output. Use z.toJSONSchema instead. (packages/playwright-cloudflare/examples/stagehand/package.json:29)

Stagehand 3.x is not supported by this example, and its code is not ported to it (package.json:25)

  • README.md:5-7 says the example targets Stagehand 2.x, and that 3.x "is not currently supported as it no longer relies on Playwright".
  • src/worker/index.ts:36-53 still uses the v2 API: stagehand.page, then page.goto, page.observe, page.act, page.waitForSelector and page.extract.
  • src/worker/screencast.ts takes a Playwright Page and calls page.context().newCDPSession(page).
  • Stagehand 3 drives the browser over CDP directly rather than through Playwright, so this code is unlikely to compile or run.
  • The README's Deploy button points at this directory on main, so the deployed template would break.
  • Fix: either port the example to the Stagehand 3 API and update the README, or close this pull request and ignore Stagehand's major updates in Dependabot.
  • The README text that contradicts the new version is part of the same problem.

zod 4 schemas passed to zodToJsonSchema (package.json:29-30, src/worker/workersAIClient.ts:6,38)

  • WorkersAIClient builds response_format.json_schema with zodToJsonSchema(schema).
  • zod-to-json-schema only understands zod 3 schemas, including those imported from zod/v3. Its own changelog points to zod 4's native JSON Schema support.
  • A zod 4 schema is likely to come out as an empty or unconstrained schema. extract would then send Workers AI no usable schema.
  • Fix: if zod 4 is kept, use z.toJSONSchema(schema) instead.

📝 Documentation: 💬 1 info

The README's Stagehand version note contradicts the new dependency.

Recommendation: 📝 Minor Comments

  • [INFO] README.md:5-7 still says Stagehand 2.x, and that 3.x is unsupported, while package.json now declares 3.7.3.

README.md:5-7 says the example uses Stagehand 2.x and that 3.x is unsupported. package.json:25 now declares ^3.7.3. The README has to change along with whichever way the Stagehand issue in the code quality section is resolved.

Stagehand 2.5 → 3.7.3 is a breaking upgrade. The example still uses the v2 API (stagehand.page, page.act/observe/extract) and Playwright Page, and the README says 3.x is unsupported.

This moves the example to Stagehand 3, but src/worker/index.ts:36-53 still uses the v2 API: stagehand.page, then page.observe, page.act and page.extract. src/worker/screencast.ts also depends on a Playwright Page. Stagehand 3 no longer drives Playwright, and README.md:7 says 3.x is unsupported for this reason. Either port the example to the v3 API and update the README, or keep Stagehand on 2.x and ignore its major updates in Dependabot.

⚠️ WARNING · Code Quality

With zod 4, zodToJsonSchema(schema) in src/worker/workersAIClient.ts:38 likely produces an empty or wrong JSON schema for Workers AI structured output. Use z.toJSONSchema instead.

zod-to-json-schema converts zod 3 schemas only. Once zod is 4.x, the schemas passed to zodToJsonSchema in src/worker/workersAIClient.ts:38 are likely to convert to an empty or unconstrained schema. extract would then send Workers AI no usable response_format. If zod 4 is kept, switch to zod's built-in z.toJSONSchema(schema).
