When attempting to create a new pattern on WordPress.org, the Pattern Editor fails to load and shows the message “The editor has encountered an unexpected error.” This prevents creating or editing any new pattern.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Navigate to: https://wordpress.org/patterns/new-pattern/
2. Wait for the Pattern Editor interface to load.
3. The screen immediately shows an unexpected error message.
4. No editing tools or UI elements appear.

Expected Behavior

The Pattern Editor should load normally and allow users to design and publish new patterns without any blocking errors.

Actual Behavior

Only an error box appears with the following message:

“The editor has encountered an unexpected error.”

with a “Copy error” button.

This issue occurs consistently. Clearing browser cache, disabling extensions, and switching browsers did not resolve the problem.
