Now, that you read Thousand Autumns, don't you think Shen Qiao and Yan Wushi's relationship kinda remind you of XueXiao (from MDZS)?
This is why I love them, I mean on one hand you have a very kind person (who will always put others befor himself) and the other is a selfish bastard who never regret what he did. But they works. And the way Shen Qiao forgave him for everything that he did, I always search for fics where Xiao Xingchen ca forgave Xue Yang .....
Oh, you know what? When I first watch Jinshi, he remind me of Shen Qiao. Both have totally different personalities, what I mean is, they have beautiful face. The same with Shen Qiao, that even the female characters got envy of him 😂😭
Hi, sorry for the wait… I’ve been quite busy with several errands lately—including managing a small pop-up shop—so I haven’t had much time to spend on my hobbies lately.
On that note, although I started Thousand Autumns last Wednesday, I’m only on chapter 22 of Volume 1… So regrettably, I can’t really comment on anything yet since I’m still getting a feel for the characters and setting.
I’ve spoken a bit about my thoughts on XueXiao before in a previous ask… Based on the spoilers I’ve heard, Thousand Autumns is very much a slow burn—and I’ll have to be very patient with Yan Wushi especially… So far, I see some parallels to XueXiao—but it’s too soon for me to do any proper analysis.
I don’t want to upset people by making assumptions based off of half-baked knowledge—we’ve had a big problem with that in the Kusuriya no Hitorigoto fandom recently.
As for the Shen Qiao and Jinshi parallels, I see what you’re saying… I find it quite interesting that both series highlight that striking beauties like Jinshi and Shen Qiao not only captivate the admiration of many but also evoke a great deal of envy and lechery.
For example, so far Shen Qiao was almost abducted and assaulted by Mu Tipo. Meanwhile, in the knh anime, it was mentioned that an official sent Jinshi food laced with something and that his previous maids tampered with his belongings. I’ve heard that more relevant incidents will be revealed later in the series…
