Behind every extraordinary car, there’s a signature you might never see. When Alpine set out to create the all-electric A390 GTS, standard tires were simply off the table. A high-performance EV demands a bespoke tire architecture capable of translating electric torque into sheer driving emotion. Look closely at the sidewall of the MICHELIN Pilot Sport 4 S engineered for this model, and you’ll find a subtle mark: “A39”. That tiny code represents months of joint simulation, track testing, and fine-tuning by Michelin and Alpine engineers. From wet-weather confidence to surgical steering response, every dimension was tailored to amplify the vehicle's unique DNA. Because true performance lives in the details.

In the early 20th century, hitting the road inn France was a real challenge. Roads were largely unmarked, leaving motorists guessing which turn to take at every intersection. To solve this and revolutionize road mobility, André Michelin introduced the famous Michelin corner milestones. Crafted from durable lava enamel mounted on reinforced concrete blocks, these high-visibility signs clearly displayed road numbers, direction arrows, and distances, as well as the name of the town you were approaching. First appearing in the 1920s, these legendary four-sided posts transformed the way people traveled, bringing clarity, safety, and peace of mind to millions of holiday drivers. Today, many of these iconic pieces of heritage still proudly stand along roads, quietly witnessing decades of summer journeys. Have you ever spotted one of these vintage Michelin concrete milestones while driving through the French countryside?

Planning your summer road trip? Back in 1900, André and Edouard Michelin were already one step ahead. 🚗💨 At the turn of the 20th century, hitting the road in an automobile was a wild adventure. Gas stations were rare, roads were unmarked, and tire punctures were common. To help drivers travel safely, maintain their vehicles, and find practical information on their journeys, André and Édouard Michelin created the very first Michelin Guide. Distributed for free at the time, this little red booklet was designed to give travelers the confidence to explore further. In 1910, Michelin introduced its first official road maps, making navigation even easier. But that's another story!

Thirty thousand fans. Millions watching online. One unforgettable weekend celebrating the very best of Rocket League.   The RLCS Major in Paris was the biggest LAN event in the competition's history, bringing together an incredible community driven by passion, teamwork and the thrill of competition. For Michelin, it was only our second Rocket League Major as a global partner. And what a debut! Beyond the scale of the event and the remarkable visibility of our brand, one outcome means more than any headline figure: Rocket League fans told us that Michelin felt like a natural fit within their community. That's exactly what we hoped to achieve. Because meaningful partnerships aren't built by placing a logo on a screen. They're built by connecting with communities through shared values and authentic experiences. A huge thank you to BLAST, Epic Games, and everyone who helped make this Major together such a success. The journey is just getting started.

As heatwaves become more frequent and intense, cities and event organizers are looking for new ways to create cooler, more comfortable public spaces. Greening remains one of the most effective long-term solutions. But in many locations, complementary approaches are needed, especially where fixed infrastructure or traditional landscaping is difficult to implement. That is exactly the challenge the Michelin Innovation Lab set out to solve. Introducing OYA Urban Tree: an ultra-light inflatable structure that can be deployed in just a few hours to create an instant oasis of cool, providing up to 260 m² of shade wherever it is needed. After highly successful trials in Toulouse (under the code name Sombrero), OYA Urban Tree is now entering an exciting new chapter. Together with SCALE-UP BOOSTER, we are launching a dedicated industrial start-up with one ambition: accelerating the deployment of this innovation across cities and major events worldwide.

A few weeks ago, we watched it leave the hangar. Today, it’s a reality: Dassault Aviation’s new flagship just completed its maiden flight.   Seeing an aircraft of this caliber take to the skies for the first time is always an incredible feeling. But seeing it do so on MICHELIN Air X Sky Light tires? That’s pure pride for our teams.   Behind that first flawless landing, there are years of intense engineering to prove that efficiency and extreme performance go hand in hand: ➡️ 10–20% lighter (less weight = lower fuel consumption and reduced CO₂ emissions). ➡️ 10–20% longer lifespan (more flights, optimal operational efficiency). ➡️ Zero compromise on safety. This isn’t just a milestone for a new aircraft. It’s the result of a 40-year trust dynamic between Michelin and Dassault Aviation.   We don't just supply tires; we co-engineer the future of flight. ✈️
