Not true. The reference in the article has already outed him. The reference links to this AfD, saying that Yaroslav Blanter nominated the hoax page for deletion, and the Afd says what user nominated the hoax page for deletion.

Our outing rules specify that unless the editor has made the connection on Wikipedia, it is considered outing. The provided source is not about this subject (nor about the editor) and is almost more of a throwaway comment than anything, so there is little if any significance or need to link the person to the account. I removed a lot of people from that list for failing the inclusion criteria, so I'm not sure why this case is any different. It's a big list that needs a lot of pruning, but one has to start somewhere (and hopefully spur others to trim it further). I will also note that list does not link to his username either. You're right (about the List of Wikipedia people not displaying Wikipedia usernames). I didn't notice that.

I did not go through all the people you removed, but the spot checking that I did were all, with the exception of Blanter, for poeple who failed the test of 10 edits in the main namespace excluding their own bio. Green Montanan (talk) 00:34, 28 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
