Category:Flagship universities in the United States

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This is a list of flagship public universities in the United States. Some states have multiple flagship universities, including Indiana (which has Purdue University in addition to Indiana University Bloomington) and Texas (which has five, including the University of Houston). Most flagships are named after their state, with exceptions including Rutgers University in New Jersey, and both the University at Buffalo and Stony Brook University in New York. Ohio does not have a flagship university.
