Throughout the week, colleagues from across the site came together to explore, experience, and exchange insights on how AI can drive efficiency, spark innovation, and pioneer new ways of working. The atmosphere on site was buzzing with excitement. From an immersive engagement zone at the canteen and captivating robot demonstrations to a dynamic AI Marketplace, the event brought AI to life in truly interactive ways. Für BASF ist klar: Wir müssen jetzt in eine Phase der breiten und schnelleren Umsetzung übergehen. Industrielle Datenräume und digitale Zwillinge haben einen Reifegrad erreicht, der Industrial AI im industriellen Maßstab ermöglicht. Wir sehen uns als aktiver Treiber der industriellen Umsetzung von Industrial AI in Europa - von der Skalierung industrieller Datenräume über die Industrialisierung von AI-Anwendungen mit klarem Business Impact bis hin zur Gestaltung regulatorisch relevanter Use Cases. Gleichzeitig wollen wir dazu beitragen, Standards für industrielle Datenökosysteme in der Prozessindustrie zu setzen. Bei BASF setzen wir diese Ansätze bereits konkret um - beispielsweise mit der Digital Data Chain oder dem Digital Product Passport. Dabei erleben wir jeden Tag, welches Potenzial in interoperablen Datenräumen steckt, um Effizienz zu steigern und den Einsatz von Industrial AI zu beschleunigen. Our new Digital Hub in Hyderabad opens its doors and welcomes its first colleagues! With the start of July, we achieved an important milestone for BASF: the opening of our Digital Hub Hyderabad in India. The new joiners were welcomed by BASF Global Digital Services and BASF India leadership, getting the chance to exchange, get to know each other as well as their new workplace, and network over Indian traditional activities like the lamp lighting ceremony or the assembly of solar lamps for donation to educational projects. “This is a very special day. It is more than just the launch of a new office: It is a milestone in BASF’s digital transformation journey, a moment of welcoming new colleagues, and a key step in turning our strategy into reality. I warmly welcome all new joiners to Global Digital Services and look very much forward to collaborating with you,” said Dietrich Spandau, President of Global Digital Services, during his opening remarks. This has been underlined by Sai Krishna 🇮🇳, Advisor to the Minister for Information Technology, Electronics & Communications, Industries & Commerce and Legislative Affairs in the state of Telangana, and Sarvesh Singh, Director & CEO Telangana Lifesciences who highlighted the importance of the new Digital Hub for Hyderabad and welcomed it to the local IT talent and GCC network. For the next few days, the new colleagues will be deep diving into the BASF organization and the Global Digital Services strategy, so they can become familiar with our portfolio, set-up and culture. In parallel, it will also be the perfect time for the Digital Hub to come closer to the IT talent in Telangana, India and cultivate it further in the upcoming months as the office continues to grow with interesting career opportunities.
