Only 6 months ago, we came out of stealth mode and introduced the automotive industry to the world’s first Virtual Fleet Manager. Back then, it was just a cool piece of tech that people were just beginning to understand. But over time, our AI earned a name for itself—and "Vic" was born. As we gear up for our first major commercial distribution agreements, automotive dealership rollouts, and massive fleet deployments, we realized something undeniable: Vic sometimes likes to show off, and when he does, he grabs everyone's attention. Every time our team meets with partners and customers, Vic steals the show. We get the exact same reaction every single time: "Wow! "That is very, very cool!" and "Wait... what else can he do?" Our answer? chaitanya vella Great question. We are standing up new fleets every day right now, and the transition is initially mentally jarring for fleet operators. That lasts exactly one second, when they start to realize that the are now able to do things they have never been able to do before, with speed and accuracy, and without having to sit and write prompts, and that work has been taken off their hands! There really is no integration issues per se. We simple accept a feed and you are up and running. We can than configure to your Fuel Card needs, your service network, etc. and "Vic" takes it from there. I just got off a call with the CEO of a Fleet Management company who said, I cannot wait to get this up and running, its just too hard to learn all these systems and do the work with legacy tools. Headless interaction, no dashboards, and action taken before you ask is the new fleet paradigm.

A brilliant summary by David Prusinski on what it will take to improve efficiency and effectiveness when it comes to reducing (or even eliminating?) unplanned downtime. Agentic AI must move from monitoring data and highlighting deviations to becoming a truly productive "team member," taking action to take repetitive tasks off the fleet manager's desk. For the time being, though, there is a clear need for a "human-in-the-loop" approach. After all, we are talking about a relatively conservative industry, and trust needs to be built before acceptance will be granted. Currently, I see two main priorities when it comes to the implementation and deployment of such AI agents. (1) 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐝𝐞𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 Established, and sometimes entrenched, processes need to be redesigned to let Agentic AI deliver its full potential and maximum value to a fleet — the goal is to remove repetitive tasks from a fleet manager's plate and let them focus on strategic work aimed at improving the bottom line. (2) 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐧 𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 We humans generally don't like change, and this change will be on a tectonic level. It will take time for us to adjust. People will understand, only over time, that Agentic AI is not replacing them or their job, but rather changes the role to focus more on the things that actually "move the needle." I am genuinely excited about this development. Early in my career I had an offer on the table. More money. Better title. Bigger company name. Everything on paper said: take it. So I did what most people do. I asked everyone around me what they thought. My colleagues said take it. My family said take it. Even my manager said take it. But something felt off. I sat with it for 48 hours and asked myself one question nobody else was asking: "Is this the problem I actually want to solve or just the opportunity that found me?" I turned it down. Three months later, I got the opportunity to lead critical hiring initiatives and work more closely with business stakeholders, experiences that shaped me into a stronger HR professional and gave me far more growth than the offer I walked away from.. Nobody clapped. There was no LinkedIn post about it then. But that one decision taught me more about how I make choices than anything a manager or mentor ever said. Here's what I learned: ↳ The best career decisions rarely look impressive from the outside in the moment. ↳ Consensus is comfortable. Clarity is rare. Choose clarity. ↳ "Everyone thinks you should" is not the same as "you should." ↳ The opportunities that find you are not always the ones built for you. If you're sitting on a decision right now — stop crowdsourcing it. You already know more than you think.
