Jinsiu Du posted thisI'm excited to share that I've joined Future Secure AI as Head of Talent Acquisition, APAC. Future Secure AI is working on AI solutions that help global enterprises solve complex, real world challenges across a range of industries. What stood out to me is the focus on applying AI in practical, meaningful ways, and I'm looking forward to helping grow the team behind that work. This role is a great fit for what I enjoy most; building talent functions, partnering with leaders, and finding people who are motivated by interesting problems and the opportunity to make an impact. We're hiring across a range of technical and commercial roles in APAC. If you're considering your next move, or simply curious about what we're building, I'd be happy to have a conversation. Take a look at the careers page or feel free to reach out to me directly. #FutureSecureAI #TalentAcquisition #APAC #AI #Hiring

Jinsiu Du posted thisA heavy day indeed. On Tuesday Atlassian announced 500 roles to be laid off. Within this group included Talent Acquisition across the globe in all streams of talent : Talent Brand, Talent Programs Management, Internal Specialist, Talent Leadership, Talent Sourcers and half of my team. 💔 Atlassian was a company I chased down to work for. I was lucky they had an opportunity perfect for me when I was looking and I have loved every moment. I feel incredibly sad it has come to this, I thought we were so close to being able to ride this down turn. Please if where you work has open roles, drop me a line and i will happily refer the most incredible talent to you.

Jinsiu Du shared thisFlashing my new badge for completing the Women Rising Program. Over the last 6 months, during work hours, I set aside time for my own learning and development and have enjoyed every minute. Women Rising met me where I was on my leadership journey, built confidence as I delved into my strengths and helped uncover and prioritise my next steps through thought provoking questions. Feeling unstoppable and very supported by my incredible cohort. Thank you to Louise Smith, André Gordenstein and Atlassian for giving me time and investing in my development. #womenrising #learninganddevelopment

Jinsiu Du reacted on thisJinsiu Du reacted on thisStill absolutely buzzing from the week that was #Denver with #Xero... The first Xero Leadership Summit (#XLS) was something beyond special. More than 500 people leaders coming together to talk about what championship performance looks like in a new era. I’m only just beginning my journey here, so seeing what this small but mighty team made possible really blew me away, leaving me already unbelievably proud to be a Xero. One of the highlights of this experience was partnering with the phenomenal Simon Curran, who lead the summit to bring the All Blacks Performance Labs perspective to life at Xero. Working with Simon gave us a powerful way to think about the clarity, connection and courage needed to build high performing teams. Working with Andre Agassi added new perspective on mindset, performance and legacy. And of course #Xerocon brought the excitement of Xero to life: the customers, partners, product and energy that make our work matter. A huge thank you to Sukhinder Singh Cassidy, Claire Bramley and the rest of our XLT for investing in our leaders, being courageous about what this moment asks of us, and giving us the tools to lead through it. I’m also incredibly proud of the team behind the summit; Tristan Blom the brains and heart of XLS who brought so much thought and care, the tenacious and visionary Rachel Burton who always kept us pushing foward, and so many others across Xero and our partners (huge shout out to Stephen Davey and INVNT®) who made this happen. I’m leaving Denver with a simple challenge: turn the inspiration into action. Keep building connection, create clarity and have the courage to lead differently as Xero enters its next chapter... Two events, one extraordinary week. Very excited for what’s next. #Leadership #HighPerformance #AI #Xero

Jinsiu Du reacted on thisJinsiu Du reacted on thisNearly two years ago, I made the biggest decision of my life. I chose to become a mum on my own. After IVF, I welcomed my son into the world. He's the greatest gift I could ever have asked for and, quite simply, he's my reason for everything. People often assume that becoming a parent means your career takes a back seat. My experience has been the opposite. It hasn't made me less ambitious; it's made me more intentional. I'm clearer about what matters, how I spend my time and the kind of leader I want to be. Returning to work also gave me something unexpected: a completely different perspective on the way we've designed work. As HR professionals, we often talk about flexibility as though it's something we offer parents. But I wonder if we've been asking the wrong question all along. Why do we still assume commitment is measured by who's first online, last to leave or always available? Why do we celebrate visibility over outcomes? And why is flexibility still so often treated as an exception rather than a way of working? I'm incredibly fortunate to work in a role where I can flex my hours. That flexibility doesn't mean I work less, care less or contribute less. It simply means I can deliver great work while also being there for the little person who depends on me. The more I've reflected on it, the more I've realised this conversation shouldn't just be about parents. It's about a colleague supporting an ageing parent. The person attending regular hospital appointments. Someone navigating fertility treatment. A teammate studying alongside work. An employee managing a disability or long-term health condition. The person who simply works best outside the traditional 9-5. None of those people should have to justify why flexibility helps them perform at their best. If organisations genuinely want to attract and retain brilliant people, then perhaps it's time we stopped designing work around the assumption that everyone has the same life outside of it. Flexible working isn't a parenting policy. It's not an employee perk. It's a talent strategy. As HR leaders, we're in a unique position to challenge some of the assumptions that have shaped workplaces for decades. We can help shift the conversation away from presenteeism and towards trust, outcomes and inclusion. We can design jobs that recognise people have different lives, responsibilities and ways of working, without compromising performance or accountability. For me, flexibility means I don't have to choose between being the HR professional I aspire to be and the mum I always dreamed of becoming. That's a privilege I'll never take for granted. Because if we're serious about creating inclusive workplaces, we shouldn't be asking how people can fit around work. We should be asking how work can better fit around people. I'd love to hear your thoughts. What assumptions about flexible working do you think it's time we challenged? #Futureofwork #PregnantThenScrewed #WorkplaceCulture

Why are so many Change & HRIS/HCM professionals applying and so few landing roles? In the current Australian market, job applications have doubled over the past 12 months. But at the same time, job creation has dropped by 5.4% . This means we are seeing more noise, fewer meaningful opportunities, and a lot of talent sitting idle. According to JobAdder’s 2025 “State of the Market” report (via news.com.au), this mismatch is hitting mid-to-senior Transformation & Tech roles particularly hard where project-based hiring has traditionally driven demand. Here’s what I’m seeing on the ground: - Businesses are still hiring but mostly to backfill, not expand - Permanent headcount is being tightly controlled due to budget cycles - Alot of Contractors are getting snapped up fast but only if they’re project-ready - Roles are taking longer to approve, and many are being paused last minute If you’re hiring: - Be clear on the commercial impact of delay and move fast once you’re ready If you’re job searching: - Treat every application like a pitch because competition has never been higher If you’re feeling stuck: I speak to candidates and hiring leaders in this space every day and these trends are consistent. There is a gap between supply and demand is real. But so are the opportunities, especially for those who can position themselves well. Have you noticed a shift in the Transformation or HCM market lately? I'd love to hear what you think of the current market. 👇
