At the World Economic Forum’s 'Summer Davos', experts explored how managers will soon be leading AI agents – not just people. These digital workers can already handle complex tasks like hiring or booking travel, and they’re only getting more capable. Managing them will require new #skills – from #prompt engineering and training to trust-building and redefining collaboration in the #agentic economy: https://lnkd.in/ewsujVK9 #AMNC25Leaders will soon be managing AI agents - these are the skills they'll need, according to expertsLeaders will soon be managing AI agents - these are the skills they'll need, according to experts

Corinne De Rosa reposted thisCorinne De Rosa reposted thisThe risk landscape in banking isn’t getting any simpler. Cyber threats continue to top the agenda, with geopolitical uncertainty and AI disruption adding new layers of complexity. For Chief Risk Officers, the challenge isn’t just about defence—it’s about staying ahead. This year’s EY and IIF Global Bank Risk Management Survey reinforces the need for agility. CROs are investing in advanced scenario planning, integrating #AI into risk frameworks, and strengthening financial controls to navigate an increasingly unpredictable environment. In APAC, where market dynamics and regulatory landscapes are evolving rapidly, risk leaders must strike the right balance between resilience and transformation. While I don't share the lived experience of LGBTQ+ people, at EY we believe that everyone deserves to feel accepted and able to be their authentic selves at work. To me, that's what inclusion is all about. It's not about a symbol or a single day of recognition. It's about creating a culture where people feel they belong and where no one feels they need to hide who they are to succeed. Thank you to everyone who took part in Wear It Purple Day and helped reinforce the importance of creating workplaces where everyone feels they belong. #WearItPurple #Inclusion #EY #ShapeTheFutureWithConfidence

Female Founder of the Year: Emily Pyke, UndaTech Thrive Award: Cass Spies, Twisted Healthy Treats Trailblazer Awards: Jessica Armstrong, Fuca Pty Ltd and Leah Kaslar, Djookian Greater Good Award: Melisha Sirisena, Kids Hearing & NSW School Screenings The calibre of applications was extraordinary, and our winners are proof that great businesses can come from anywhere and solve almost anything. A few years ago, we challenged ourselves to rethink how we support women in business. That led to changes in the way we assess start-up lending and, ultimately, more than $1 billion in lending to women-led businesses. The Female Founder Awards are the next chapter in that journey. Because access to capital matters, but so does recognition. Visibility opens doors. It builds confidence, creates opportunities and inspires the next generation of founders to back themselves. Congratulations to our winners, and to all 15 finalists who shared their stories with us. Corinne De Rosa liked thisCorinne De Rosa liked thisI recently had the priviledge to facilitate EY's Four Futures of AI panel for the YPO Sydney chapter. The question for a room full of CEOs: How do we make decisions today that will hold up, however AI unfolds by 2030? Katherine Boiciuc opened with the scale and speed of disruption already reshaping entire sectors, and the opportunity for leaders willing to shape what comes next. This set the stage for EY’s Four Futures for 2030: Constraint, Growth, Transform and Collapse. Rather than predictions, these scenarios offer a lens to pressure test today’s choices. We closed on the question: what is one no regrets action every CEO should take now? Three themes landed: 🔹 Treat data as your moat. As models converge, proprietary, well governed data will differentiate. 🔹 Build an enterprise wide view of AI now. Do not wait for the perfect law or policy. 🔹 Invest in your people. AI fluency must extend across the workforce, not sit only with specialists. Thank you to @EmmaHawthrone, @Scott Glover and Ean Evans for the sharp perspectives across energy, financial services and telecommunications, and to @James Karekinian and YPO for the opportunity. #FourFutures #AI #Leadership #EY #YPO

While her outlook is positive, the journey continues, with ongoing treatment and her back in hospital/medical visits most weeks. Seeing this up close is a powerful reminder of how much cancer impacts so many lives. Last year, thanks to so many generous donations I raised over $5k for cancer research doing EY's Stride for a Cure and I'm hoping to do it again. As AI continues to reshape the insurance sector, we brought together industry leaders to explore how insurers are embedding AI across the value chain, from underwriting and claims through to finance, HR and broader operational functions. A big thank you to our MC Campbell L. and our speakers Jayant Sharma, Peter Fox and Janine Donelly, who shared valuable insights on the opportunities and challenges of AI adoption, what benefits we are seeing being realised and how the insurance workforce is evolving in response. Thank you to everyone who joined us and contributed to an engaging and thought-provoking discussion. If your organisation is navigating similar opportunities or challenges related to AI adoption and workforce transformation, we'd be delighted to continue the discussion so please don't hesitate to reach out. #ShapeTheFutureWithConfidence Emma Reekie Brett Kallio Jason Bain Anthony Bousles Donald Lim

Corinne De Rosa reacted on thisCorinne De Rosa reacted on thisSome experiences change the way you look at life forever. For me, one such experience happened when my family found ourselves on the other side of the hospital doors, in a Paediatric Intensive Care Unit at Monash Health Monash Children's hospital with my then 1 year old son. When your child is critically unwell, the world suddenly becomes very small. Your priorities change. Time feels different. And you begin to see people differently too. You see the nurses who keep going through long shifts. The doctors who carry enormous responsibility. The carers who give everything they have to help a child get better. And the families who are simply hoping and praying for good news. I walked away from that experience with an overwhelming sense of gratitude. But I also kept asking myself: How do you give something back to the people who gave so much to your family? That question became the beginning of something very close to my heart, an initiative through Melbourne Singhs to support nurses, carers, patients and families in Paediatric and Neonatal Intensive Care Units across Melbourne. What started as a personal desire to say thank you has grown because other people chose to join me. Month after month, volunteers, friends and family come together to deliver snacks, light meals and small gestures of care to the people spending their days and nights in these units. It may seem like a small thing. But when you’re sitting in a hospital, exhausted, worried and waiting for news, sometimes a simple meal, a cup of something warm or knowing that someone is thinking about you can mean a lot. I am incredibly grateful to the hospitals and healthcare teams who have welcomed this initiative and especially to the nurses and carers who continue to inspire us through the work they do every day. A recent acknowledgement from Monash Children’s Hospital for the ongoing support of their PICU since 2021 is particularly meaningful to me. It reminded me that sometimes the smallest acts of gratitude can create a much bigger ripple. As consultants, we spend a lot of time talking about purpose, impact, leadership and creating lasting change. The way I look at it is that some of the most meaningful change doesn’t start with a strategy document. It starts with a personal experience. It starts with gratitude. I hope MELBOURNE SINGHS continues to grow, supporting the incredible nurses, carers, children and families in PICUs and NICUs across Melbourne. Thank you Preet K Kohli, it would have never been possible without you. https://lnkd.in/gYdzr7-t

Why IT Feels Complicated (And How to Simplify It!) As a trusted IT partner supporting businesses across South East QLD we’ve seen the same pattern repeat itself, technology feels complicated when it’s being managed reactively. After years of helping organisations simplify their systems, eliminate avoidable downtime, and gain full visibility over their IT environment one thing has become clear, complexity disappears when prevention becomes the priority. If you're a business owner, you've probably asked yourself why technology feels so complicated? The truth is IT isn’t meant to be confusing. It’s meant to make your business run smoother, faster, and safer. But when technology becomes reactive instead of proactive, it quickly turns into a source of disruption. At its core, effective IT management comes down to one principle - Prevention over Reaction. Instead of waiting for something to break, a prevention first approach builds resilient systems that stop issues from happening in the first place. The key? Planning and structure. When you know which areas of your technology are critical and you have visibility and governance around them everything becomes more manageable. This proactive mindset shapes how we support teams, select tools, strengthen security, and maintain operations. Good IT isn't about putting out fires, it’s about making sure those fires never start. When your technology is stable, predictable, and well-managed; your business can focus on what truly matters, growth. Read more about how to structure your business IT here: https://lnkd.in/guFBwfg5

IBM is investing across the Australian and New Zealand (A/NZ) market as it plans to ramp up its channel through talent and skilling initiatives. https://lnkd.in/gcuxiHiF This is according to the vendor’s A/NZ managing director and vice president, Nicholas Flood, who said clients in particular are looking for sovereign partners with accessible skills. There’s also a desire from the public sector to utilise more local partners as well with a similar aspiration of applying spend for “public good beyond just the organisational competitive advantage or efficiency that they’re seeking.”
