((For those of you who asked, somewhere buried in our 400 asks, “Would you ever dress up in a costume, and what characters would you be?” well here you go. Our Sapphire drew a terribly nerdy crossover with the subversive gay anime Yuri Kuma Arashi. Enjoy this art-warm-up! Neither of us have drawn much in the last few months for reasons. We started a weekly Podcast on LGBT issues in fandom, history, and current events! Hopefully we can be back in the swing of the askblog soon too.))
Yes I’m using my fandom inktober sketches for activism, because this is actually an important chance to be acknowledged politically.
For the first time ever, networks are promising to consider the 30 most up-voted questions submitted by Americans.
We’ve done a great job spreading the word, peaking at #10!
However, we are not keeping pace and have dropped to #18.
Let’s keep putting this out there so we STAY in the running!!!

We had a great night at B&N’s The Answer Q&A with Rebecca Sugar!
We were able to thank her for the wonderful work with her a watercolor we collaborated on. @stuffinfluffcooking did the Ruby rough sketch and line cleanup on both, and @nillia did the Sapphire rough sketch and watercolors.
She was so gracious when she accepted it (and a copy of @azamicomic
, which Sugar had inspired @nillia to finally work on 2 years ago through her writing panel @ Magfest).
We met some great people, enjoyed a lively TuxedoPearl for a host, got to hear Sugar’s rendition of “It’s Over, Isn’t It?”, and had a question answered! A wonderful night!
Thanks to everybody involved, especially our friend @ametto who told us this event was happening!

Day 2 is “Date Night!” Garnet is their relationship, their togetherness, their being ‘out’, their PDA, their LOVE. We are pretty sure their best dates are experiencing the world together in that manner.

Hey we heard there was a Rupphire bomb going on somewhere like over at @rupphirebomb or something so we hopped on in!
Day 1 is “Seasons” and we bet you’re all excited for autumn. Discovering autumn for the first time on earth was probably pretty romantic and awesome.
