The nice thing about the LEGO model is that you can destack it into three separate chunks to move it around if you need to. It probably also weighs less than a metal model. Which probably explains the shipping, now that I think about it...
The destack would be a nice feature - the Ixo model is pretty much a unified thing. The Lego model weights much, much more though - the Ixo is 3 Kg, the Lego a whopping 11. While the Ixo is metal, it's pretty close to scale meaning very thin metal. The Lego is over 10,000 hunks of plastic. There's no way it should cost $400 to ship 3 kilos to the US from EU.The nice thing about the LEGO model is that you can destack it into three separate chunks to move it around if you need to. A mere $800 recommended retail price. Sigh. Looks very pretty, and hilarious that it includes a standard Star Destroyer as basically a mini-pack-in.Oh nooooooo. I have no space for this.

Huh. I would have expected this to be hidden on the main model. Regardless, I want it. The tiny millennium falcon that is.AND a teeny tiny millennium falcon!
Zoom waayyyy the hell in...
While I think the CE Millenium Falcon is possibly the best designed and best looking Lego model ever made, I can't say the same for either the Executor or the Star Destroyer. MOCs for both are way better models, especially the SD. The Monarch MOC is magnificent, and considerably cheaper if you buy non-Lego brand bricks. The Mould King version is typically around $450. I posted pics of the one I built either in this thread or the collectibles thread. It's certainly not suitable for younger builders - MOCs can be very tricky, and the Monarch pushes the physical limits of what you can do. The result is a near studio quality model, though. You have to get really close to it to even realize it's bricks.A mere $800 recommended retail price. Sigh. Now I know the Internet is dead. I was unable to find a quote from Dragonball Z's English dub (when Dende was recruited to revive Shenron and commented on its unusual design) to go with this.
