What was once a one-off PLE idea has become a series as WWE has continued the Clash name and taken it across Europe. It started in the UK, then went to Paris, and now it's headed to Italy. Not only because it will continue the Clash brand, but it will be the first time in WWE history that a PLE has been held in Italy. It will be called Clash in Italy, and everything you need to know about the historic event can be found below.
When Is Clash In Italy?
WWE has really been putting PLEs out at pace the last two months. You'd think there'd be a break after WrestleMania, but it's been quite the opposite. Clash In Italy will be the second PLE since WWE's biggest show of the year, taking place on Sunday, May 31, 2026. Since the show will be taking place in a different timezone, it will start significantly earlier than usual in the US, with the main card kicking off at 2 pm EST.
Where Can I Watch Clash In Italy?
Even though Clash In Italy is taking place outside of the US and at a different time than usual, and on a different day than the new WWE norm, you will still need to go to the same places to watch it live. That's ESPN in the US, and Netflix for most of you who want to watch it live around the world.
Where Is Clash In Italy Taking Place?
Clash In Italy is, of course, taking place in Italy. It would be weird if it wasn't. But where in Italy? You'd think the country's capital would be the city of choice, but no. WWE is headed to Turin in the north of the country, specifically the Inalpi Arena. There are still tickets available, but they start from 345 euros.
Best Matches From WWE's Clash PLE Series, Ranked By Quality
WWE's Clash PLE series has seen three events thus far, but which match at these PLEs have been the best of the best?
Cody Rhodes vs. Gunther For The WWE Championship
Gunther has held a lot of titles in WWE, and when he holds them, he doesn't tend to let go for a very long time. He has never been WWE Champion, though, and now that he's no longer World Champion, he wants to change that. That means beating Cody Rhodes, and The Ring General will have the opportunity to do exactly that at Clash In Italy.
Gunther has taken a rather unfamiliar path to get here. Cashing in a favor from Paul Heyman, and then refusing to take the match on Rhodes' terms. The match was eventually made official, and with it taking place so much closer to Gunther's home than the US, there's a chance he gets something of a hometown reaction this Sunday.
Rhea Ripley vs. Jade Cargill For The WWE Women's Championship
The WrestleMania rematches are typically done and dusted by now if we're getting them. However, Jade Cargill is struggling to move on. She was soundly beaten by Rhea Ripley and has been punishing the new champ for that once she was done licking her wounds and returned to seek revenge.
Cargill didn't return alone. The former champion has had B-Fab and Michin doing a lot of her bidding, with Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair stepping up to even out the numbers. It will be one-on-one at Clash In Italy this Sunday, though, and Cargill will need to be better than she was at WrestleMania if she wants that title back.
Roman Reigns vs. Jacob Fatu In A Tribal Combat Match For The World Heavyweight Championship
Jacob Fatu failed to defeat his cousin Roman Reigns for the World Title at Backlash, and he didn't take it well. Fatu attacked Reigns after the match and then continued that attack on the Raw following the event, taking out anyone he could find with a connection to The Tribal Chief.
That has led to Fatu getting a second chance to take down Reigns, but this time things are different. The two will go to war in a Tribal Combat match, the rules of which are a little unclear. It effectively means anything goes, and so far, there have been two of them in WWE history before this weekend. Reigns has won both of them.
Oba Femi vs. Brock Lesnar
The greatest trick The Beast ever pulled was making Oba Femi believe he had sent him out to pasture. Femi didn't only slay The Beast at WrestleMania, but Brock Lesnar's actions after the match made it seem like he was retiring. Leaving on a loss, never to return.
That's why Femi was well and truly blindsided when Lesnar returned a month later and laid waste to him on Raw. It seems either Lesnar changed his mind and wants revenge, or this was all one big ruse to lull Femi into a false sense of security. Either way, we'll find out if he's learned enough to beat Femi this time when they meet in a rematch on Sunday.
Becky Lynch vs. Sol Ruca For The Women's Intercontinental Championship
Becky Lynch and Sol Ruca clashed at Main Event in a match marred by controversy and confusion. Confusion because Lynch refused to put her Intercontinental Title on the line, even though it was heavily implied that would be the case, and controversy because even in a non-title match, Lynch had to get disqualified to survive Ruca.
Not only has that controversial ending to the match led to a rematch between the two at Clash In Italy, but this time the UC Title will be on the line. No confusion or messiness. The match is booked, and if Lynch loses, she loses her championship.
