AEW held its eighth annual Double or Nothing PPV on Sunday. The card is being praised as one of the better pro wrestling shows in recent memory. The ratings you've been leaving for it actually go one step further than that, branding it the best AEW PPV ever, and better than any show in WWE history.
Double Or Nothing Is The Highest-Rated AEW PPV Ever
That's according to the score Double or Nothing 2026 currently has on Cagematch. On a scale of one to ten, Sunday's AEW PPV has an incredibly impressive 9.69. That's quite a bit higher than the next best AEW PPV, which is All Out 2021 with a score of 9.50, and the second-highest-rated AEW show of any description, right after the Brodie Lee tribute show with a well-deserved, almost perfect 9.84.
Every AEW PPV Ever, Ranked From Worst To Best
While there have been some lesser shows, AEW always delivers when it comes to their pay-per-views. Which event tops the list?
That, alone, is all very impressive, but AEW fans have even more to celebrate when you compare Double or Nothing's score to the highest-rated WWE shows on Cagematch. That's because none of them compare. Sunday's show is, in the eyes of the fans, at least, better than anything WWE has ever done.
How Double Or Nothing Stacks Up Against WWE's Highest-Rated Shows
To give you an idea of which events Cagematch users believe to be the best in WWE history, NXT TakeOver: New York is the promotion's highest-scoring show with a 9.59. That was the show that closed with Johnny Gargano competing against Adam Cole in an incredible two out of three falls match.
Similar to AEW, WWE also has a high-ranking tribute show - the Eddie Guerrero edition of Raw after Latino Heat's passing, which has a 9.55 on Cagematch. Right after that, you have WrestleMania X-Seven, a PPV that is widely regarded by many fans to be the best of all time. The 2001 edition of WrestleMania has a score of 9.52, so, as it stands, Double or Nothing is better.
That could all change depending on how many more fans leave reviews on Cagematch. That said, even though it hasn't even been 48 hours since AEW's latest PPV, it already has 364 reviews. Cagematch's review totals are a little all over the place. The latest Double or Nothing could end up with around 400, or its number could be doubled within the week.
Considering how many fans have already scored the show, I'd hazard a guess it's going to be the latter. I also think it's safe to assume that 9.69 is going to drop over the next few days. Particularly as word of its lofty score starts to spread and old school WWE fans get upset about it having a higher score than WrestleMania X-Seven.
