See AllKingdoms of Amalur was supposed to start a franchise, but it imploded instead
3 things... First, I find that the combat system for the game is still leagues better than most Fantasy rpg's out now. Second, the game's level design was rather elementary. Third, the issue with the writing was they never got to the central premise or concept of the game to hook you till the end of the game. RPG franchises live or die on either their world building or Story and this game failed at both. Overall, I mostly agree with you assessment with some rather small caveats.

It was a pretty good game. It's most impressive thing was it's combat system. It was, and still is, one of the best and engaging combat systems in a fantasy action RPG I've experienced in a long time. Combat was a visceral experience and every character build felt dangerous.
Hasbro CEO swears they're not using AI to design Magic and D&D
"The Lady doth protest too much..." Hasbro hired all these AI generation experts and don't plan to use them to make AI a part of their business. Seems strange to me.
Sony is hitting the reset switch on the Spider-Man spinoff movie universe
Lynith I am going by the original source material created in the 90's- Knull didn't exist back then. So, your first argument is wrong. Secondly, Eddie Brock in the OG comics was a POS human being- which is why him getting bonded to the symbiote was a problem. The suit feeds off of strong emotions, on someone as disciplined as Peter, the slide to losing control was gradual. To a human piece of trash like Brock- oh boy, you get Evil Spider-man. So your second argument is also wrong. Third, Venom doesn't really have a lot of potential as a character. He literally is "What if an unhinged maniac got access to Spider-Man powers, but was stronger than classic Spider-Man in every way plus immune to classic Spider-Man's inherent abilities?" Venom is only interesting in his relationship to Spider-Man. It's like making a Black Adam movie while ignoring his relation to Shazam (also some stupid bovine scatology that a Movie studio pulled).
I understand, you like the films, they were enjoyable to you. Great, but take a step back and look at it critically; those movies are trash. You can enjoy something and acknowledge it's also trash. You can like fast food and acknowledge it's not high quality or healthy. You should defend it as such- you recognize it's lack of nutritive value and move on. Finally, these films are adaptations of a written format, which means people who have read just the comics should be able to recognize and discuss the source material with people who have just seen the movies... which is not the case with these films. Hell, the Raimi film is better by that metric. In conclusion, I stand by my original statement, if they aren't going to write good scripts for these films that are faithful to the source material, then give it over to Marvel proper (not that they've been knocking it out of the park lately themselves but their track record is better than Sony's).

Please Sony, stop. Your Sonyverse Marvel movies by and large are pretty much substandard. I know there are fans of the Venom movies but even fans of those films can't tell you that they are in any way, shape, or form inspired by or complimentary to their source material (I am one of those people who isn't the biggest fan of Venom as a character- he's just "evil" Spider-man- which is a lazy character creation). Madam Web was some bovine scatology, as was Morbius, and Kraven. If they aren't going put an effort in to make a good movie, just cut a deal and let proper Marvel take over control because if I have to see another Morbius, Madam Web, or Kraven or that underwhelming Venom trilogy... No thank you.
Did Sonic really lose to Mario?
PiranesiCasserne Okay, let me elaborate. Mario, as a character, can be in more games and circumstances than Sonic. His character is just bland enough to be able to blend into anything. He can be an rpg character, a racer, puzzle character, sportsman, heck, he even has Picross games. Sonic has a personality that is shallow as hell- he runs fast and likes chili dogs. His racing games are fun, his fighting games are meh, his main line games are of varying quality; these days, they are hit or miss. Once again, Sonic appeared in Smash bros, Mario isn't appearing in a Sonic game. In summary, Mario's blandness combined with his consistent games made him a better character and won him the gold.
