Communications Engineering is now using Springer Nature’s manuscript tracking system, SNAPP, for processing all new submissions. SNAPP is simple and intuitive to use and designed to better meet the needs of the research community. Snapp is built in-house by Springer Nature, so it will continuously evolve to respond to researcher needs.

From 11th August, all new submissions, if accepted, will have a peer review file published alongside it, containing the reviewer comments and author rebuttal letters to those comments. For accepted contributions submitted prior to 11th August, transparent peer review remains optional. Mandatory Transparent Peer Review aligns our processes with Nature, and other journals in our Portfolio.

In August, we thank Felix Glang, an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Biomedical Imaging at Graz University of Technology, Austria, for his invaluable contributions to peer review. His research focuses on developing new methods for magnetic resonance imaging, with the aim of accelerating acquisitions and improving the robustness, image quality, and quantitative value of the resulting data.
