Getting prompts right is the hardest part of building reliable LLM applications — small wording changes can swing accuracy by 20%, and manual tuning simply doesn't scale. We built FAPO (Fully Automated Prompt Optimization), an AI coding driven system, supported by both Claude Code and Codex, that evaluates your pipeline, diagnoses which step failed, generates improved variants, and iterates autonomously until you hit your target accuracy. In head-to-head testing against GEPA across six benchmarks, FAPO won 15 of 18 comparisons (mean gain +14.1pp), with the biggest jumps coming from escalating beyond prompts to structural pipeline changes.
