We're proud to share that the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency (MEMA) selected our team to lead the 2028 Climate Change Assessment and ResilientMass Plan Update. This effort will chart the Commonwealth of Massachusetts’ path forward by connecting climate science, risk assessment data and resilience planning into a single, integrated strategy — creating better understanding around future climate impacts and identifying the actions needed to protect communities, critical infrastructure and essential services across the Commonwealth. Building on our work leading a prior, award-winning integrated hazard mitigation and climate adaptation plan for Massachusetts, our team will assess vulnerabilities, engage local stakeholders and develop resilience strategies that support smarter investments, stronger communities and long-term preparedness. Together with Industrial Economics, Incorporated (IEc), Consensus Building Institute, Jamie Caplan Consulting LLC and Woods Hole Group, Inc., we're helping the Commonwealth transform climate insights into action and build a more resilient future for Massachusetts.

We’re excited to participate in the 7th National Adaptation Forum, hosted by EcoAdapt, taking place May 12-14, 2026, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Hosted at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center, this year’s Forum brings together practitioners from across the country to share insights, advance solutions, and build momentum around climate adaptation and resilience. Our team will be presenting several sessions across the program. On May 12 from 11:30-11:45 AM, Chris Levitz, PE, CFM will present Nature’s Blueprint: Adapting Island and Rural Communities to Climate Risk. Later that day, from 4:15-4:30 PM, Victoria Salgado will present From Insight to Impact: Evaluating Coastal Resilience through Community Engagement. On May 14 from 12:00-12:15 PM, Diana Edwards will present Scaling Regional Climate Resilience: Advancing Adaptation Through Local Innovation and Collective Expertise. The atmospheric science team at AECOM brings together a diverse group of passionate experts, including atmospheric scientists, meteorologists, climatologists, and environmental scientists, who support clients in addressing today’s and tomorrow’s climate challenges.
