Director (Acting) of the Defense Support Services Center (DSSC)

Today I had the privilege of testifying before the Committee on House Administration at the hearing titled “Serving and Voting: Oversight of the Federal Voting Assistance Program.” I’m beyond grateful for the opportunity to discuss the Federal Voting Assistance Program (FVAP) alongside the incredible Director, Mr. Scott Wiedmann—who has served in FVAP for over 32 years! Talk about a legend in the field! It was a true honor to sit beside such a knowledgeable and respected expert. We focused on the implementation of the Uniformed and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act (UOCAVA), and I continue to be amazed by the professionalism, precision, and commitment of the staff who made this experience seamless. Their preparation, clarity, and deep understanding of the mission made my job easy—and I couldn’t be more thankful. As I was reminded again today: no two elections are the same. Even if you’ve been around elections for decades—if you’ve seen one, you’ve only seen one. Couldn’t have asked for a better co-testifier and battle buddy for this important conversation. #FVAP #UOCAVA #ElectionAdministration #VotingRights #PublicService #Gratitude

Hello, and how are you doing? I want to ask you a personal question. I hope that you can help me with an answer. Have you lived in Louisiana? And if not, I apologize for asking. I'm looking for a friend of mine from Louisiana who has the same name as you and also in the Navy , and has a wife. It has been a long time since we talked. I tried looking him up (my friend) but no luck. Jason graduated modeling school with my mom a year later after I graduated. He knows my family...that is why I'm asking you this...I pray that all is well with you and your family. A yes or no would be welcomed. Thank you and God bless you.

Fantastic stuff Liz! This is a key program for many, and as someone who spent over 15 years living abroad in uniform, a critical way to ensure our voices are heard and votes counted!
