Cool recent paper from our team (Instagram Ads Ranking) on customizing the learning process of attention layers to preserve mutual information with minority cohorts while improving global performance. This could be quite relevant to other industry groups working on large scale recommendation systems. https://lnkd.in/gyfVWbS5

Wow! My former marketing colleague, Karen Richards, has developed a new online course for Mount Royal University titled AI and Digital Marketing. 📖 Course description: Build smart digital marketing campaigns based on industry, competitor and audience data using artificial intelligence tools to elevate the reputation and sales of your business. You will utilize AI to create content, scale and optimize campaigns, and automate tasks. When I asked if it would be appropriate for an entrepreneur audience, she said 'Yes! The course is designed for marketers, small biz owners and entrepreneurs as well as seasoned marcom professionals wanting to stay on top of AI. Basics, hands-on exercises plus advanced content for those that want it.' The 4 week online course starts November 3, check it out! https://lnkd.in/gVsiATZJ

Deep Learning 101: A No‑Fluff Roadmap From Maths to Models G'day, legends! I just shipped a passion project I wish I had when I first dove into ML/AI: Deep Learning 101 — A "compressed version" to learn, focused on core maths and key concepts. Why I wrote it? I started this book as study notes for myself, because I couldn't find any book that fit my background. As I delved deeper into the field, I realised that many existing resources were either too basic or too advanced, leaving a gap for learners with a technical foundation seeking comprehensive yet accessible coverage. This book is a compressed version of the deep learning books out there, you'll find the most important concepts and mathematical formulae presented in a structured, coherent manner. Rather than overwhelming you with every detail, I've distilled the essential knowledge that forms the foundation of modern deep learning. This book assumes you have a fair understanding of mathematics, algorithms, and programming. But don't worry - you'll learn along the way if you miss any of them. The early chapters provide mathematical foundations, and examples throughout the book will help reinforce concepts you may need to review. The target audience includes those who want to learn the basics of deep learning with a focus on mathematics. If you're interested in research or want to dive a little deeper into the maths and algorithms underlying neural networks, this book will guide you through both theory and practice. Whether you're just beginning your journey into machine learning or looking to deepen your understanding of neural networks, this book provides the mathematical foundations, practical insights, and hands-on knowledge you need to succeed. I hope this resource serves you well in your learning journey. The No Code AI and Machine Learning course from Great Learning is one of the most valuable learning experiences I have had in a long time. Although the platform was marketed as no-code, this experience taught me the value of low-code development in accelerating data analytics and machine learning workflows. Using KNIME, I was able to visually design complex pipelines while also incorporating custom logic and advanced techniques through low-code components when needed. This hybrid approach gave me both flexibility and control—enabling me to clean and transform data, build predictive models, and generate actionable insights without being limited by drag-and-drop tools alone. It reinforced how platforms like KNIME empower analysts to think like data scientists and bridge the gap between technical depth and business usability.

The "Problem/Solution/Result" Post (Focus on Impact) This is great for a broad audience of educators, leaders, and HR/L&D professionals. Stop Teaching with One-Size-Fits-All Textbooks. Traditional textbooks are a major barrier to effective learning. They are static, boring, and don't adapt to individual needs. Google's new research experiment, Learn Your Way, is finally fixing this. It uses powerful AI (Gemini 2.5 Pro) to turn any textbook or PDF into a dynamic, personalized learning experience for every student: ✅ Personalizes Content: Rewrites text and changes examples based on a student’s grade level and personal interests (like sports or music). ✅ Goes Beyond Text: Instantly creates slides, audio lessons, mind maps, and interactive quizzes from the material. ✅ Delivers Results: Early studies show an 11% boost in knowledge retention over standard digital readers. This is a true game-changer for educational equity and engagement. The future of learning is here, and it’s adaptive. What are your thoughts on bringing this level of personalization into the classroom? https://lnkd.in/gE6eciwT #EdTech #EducationInnovation #PersonalizedLearning #GoogleAI #LearnYourWay video by #google
