Last night we pushed one of the biggest releases in company history. AI Gateway 2.0 is now GA. The 𝚎̶𝚊̶𝚐̶𝚕̶𝚎̶ gorilla has landed!! Every enterprise Kong customer now has access to the most powerful AI connectivity runtime on the market, built from the ground up for AI workloads. AI Gateway 2.0 runs on its own dedicated engine, with its own control plane in Konnect, its own admin API built around AI-native primitives (Models, MCP, and Agents as first-class entities) and its own (fast-paced) release cadence. This release also ships a wave of net-new capabilities: • MCP Server Bundling for governed agent tool access • Dynamic modality-aware cost management • Expanded model & provider coverage across Kimi, Foundry, & SageMaker • Identity-aware AI policies powered by Kong Identity • Native IAM authentication for Amazon Bedrock AgentCore HUGE kudos to the incredible rockstar team that pulled this off!! Saju Pillai , Greg Peranich , Reza Shafii , Silvano Luciani , Alex Drag , David Erichsen , Stefano Torresi , Wangchong Zhou , Chris Tam , and Felderi Santiago And a giant thank you to all the Kong customers that provided early feedback on the beta! Move AI. Onwards

Much goodness here - but this is just the backbone on which some really good features are about to land - including full credential vaulting, full tokenomics - very powerful budgeting and AI cost mgmt capabilities and centralized policy setting. A strong team building a strong product!
That line 'Models, MCP, and Agents as first-class entities' is doing a lot of work quietly. Most platforms bolt AI on top of existing infrastructure. Building a dedicated engine from scratch is a completely different bet.
Governed agent tool access baked into the gateway itself is exactly where this stuff needs to go
No Ai Without API’s
Big step toward making enterprise AI infrastructure ready for what comes next.
Much needed, I already know someone who was waiting for it
This is going to be huge!! Well done!
That dynamic cost management feature is a massive win for scaling enterprise AI.
