Upali Dasgupta’s Post

Another Meltwater milestone! 🎉 What does it take to get an industry that never stands still to pause and look ahead? A leading neuroscientist. Experienced PR and marketing practitioners from some of APAC’s most recognisable brands. Stories of experimentation. New technology brought to life. A beautiful venue with its own cloud forest. And a hardworking team making it all happen while telling terrible jokes and always having each other’s backs. That’s what went into our first Meltwater Summit on Tour, Asia, hosted in Singapore last week. From social media and smartphones to creators, communities, and now AI, change continues to reshape how people consume information and how PR, communications, and marketing teams work. Summit Asia gave us the chance to step back and ask, What’s changing? What matters? And what should we do next? A big thank you to Carmen Simon, Sammy Elazab, Madhurjya Banerjee, Lauren Myers-Cavanagh, Prasanna Ganesh, Alyce Erikson, Brian Keenan, Jam Muñasque Henares, Manisha Seewal, Ching Yee Wong, Lavinia Rajaram, Neel Murty, Manoj Damodaran, Zeeshan Khan and Ling Ang. Thank you for giving us your time and sharing how you’re navigating change. I feel lucky to have crossed paths with so many of you over the years, and grateful that so many of you have continued to champion Meltwater along the way. To our customers, partners, and attendees, thank you for spending the day with us and making the conversations off stage as valuable as those on it. To the wider Meltwater team, you showed up, and how. Thank you to Aditya Jami, Kelly B., Dhruv Gupta and Dino Delic for flying halfway around the world to join us. And to Jenny Force, David Hickey, Mimrah Mahmood, Ramnath (Ram) Bojeesh, and Shasank Mohapatra for leading by doing, rolling up your sleeves, and stepping in wherever needed. I have yet to see cross-functional collaboration work as well as it does at Meltwater APAC. And special hat tip to my mighty marketing team Sunita Howe, Bronwyn Cook, Samantha T., Pek Hua L. and Shiqi Gwan. Who says you can’t do it all? From data-driven marketing to full-scale conference production, it’s all in a day’s work. Ain't no mountain high enough for this team. 💪 If the day made one thing clear, it’s that this industry has no intention of standing still. The landscape will keep shifting and the questions will keep getting bigger. And that’s what keeps the work interesting! Here’s to what comes next. #MeltwaterSummitAsia

The Meltwater Summit on Tour, Asia, sounds like a productive event for industry professionals to discuss relevant changes in the marketing and PR landscape. Your team's ability to bring together neuroscientists and experienced practitioners to explore these evolving topics is notable. We appreciate the emphasis on practical discussions over generic insights.

Inspiring and impressive! 🙌

Bravo, Upali Dasgupta and Team Meltwater! Besides a stellar event, your team did an exceptional job looking after the speakers, so thank you!

Pulling off two Summits in your region in just a few months, for the first time ever, is incredible, Upali Dasgupta! 🔥 You and the team absolutely crushed it. So happy I got to be there in person. 🎉
