So, we realize that there's a difference between information and intimacy. Intimacy is what we really want to get after. But how do we get intimate? Well, the next lesson is going to provide you the skills you need to do that and the perspective to do that well. We live in a hyper-connected world where there's more data collected than ever before. Every Google search, every credit card swipe, every author tweet leaves behind a breadcrumb of information that amounts to reams and reams of data in aggregate. However, though the amount of data available to marketers have increased exponentially, mind you, our ability to extract insight from said data has only increased marginally. This paradox amounts to a simple yet significant oversight on behalf of most marketers and business leaders writ large. We mistake information for intimacy.
