AI is part of our cognitive evolution. I'm really fascinated by the work of John Verveke, a cognitive scientist who created the course The Meaning Crisis. In this course, he explores the role of language and how that has been part of our evolution as a species. Language was something invented by human beings, and then as human beings adopted language, language shaped human beings. Let me give you an example of that. The ancient Greeks took language to a new level. They even introduced vowels. And vowels can actually be credited with the foundations of democracy because language taught our brains to reflect in new ways and to communicate in more seamless ways. So I foresee that AI, like language, will be something that we create and that in collaborating with AI, will shape our cognitive development and shape towards the future of our species and unlock unforeseeable levels of human potential.
