Provide equipment/systems installation services along with technical assistance to Sames’s customer/distribution network on-site or remotely. Work with internal customers: assist within the repair department undertaking daily duties, when not assigned to a specific job, assist with miscellaneous projects as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities
Provide Technical support for internal and external customers, in-house and in the field
Provide equipment system installations, commissioning, along with troubleshooting activities, at customer facilities
Validation and production support, of installed equipment / systems
Prepare daily site / field service reports, throughout project phases
Assist with training schools and provide training on Sames equipment and processes, at customer facilities and in house
Repair customer equipment, following repair department procedures
Assist with answering technical calls from the support phone line
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Minimum High School degree
Hands-on experience and understanding with mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical equipment, measurement tools, schematics, layouts, and techniques to ensure conformance to specifications & design
Ability to work assigned shifts / days / nights / weekends / holidays / overtime when required
Possession of a valid driver’s license, passport eligibility along with traveling internationally
Interact with customers and contract workers
Ability to read and write in English
Microsoft Office: Word, Outlook, Excel - proficient
Requires travel to domestic and international sites at least 50% or more, often on short notice
Other Desired Skills, Experience, Traits:
Technical degree or bachelor’s degree and/or certificate preferred
3+ years of finishing, sealant, and adhesive application experience preferred
3+ years of field service and automotive industry experience preferred
Capable to read and understand blueprint drawings
Ability to handle diverse assignments concurrently in a demanding environment
Work well independently or within a team structure
Know how to identify and react in dangerous situations
Know how to analyze priority environmental and safety aspects and implement relevant actions
