Job Summary
PETADATA is seeking a Senior Oracle PL/SQL Developer with 13+ years of experience in SQL/PLSQL development, performance tuning, and database optimization to build and support scalable, high-performance Oracle database solutions.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain complex Oracle PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, triggers, and cursors
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into efficient database solutions
- Optimize SQL and PL/SQL code for performance, scalability, and reliability
- Develop and maintain database objects, indexes, and views
- Perform query tuning and performance optimization using execution plans and indexing strategies
- Collaborate with application developers, business analysts, and QA teams
- Support data migration, data validation, and database deployment activities
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to database performance and data integrity
- Ensure database code follows best practices, standards, and security guidelines
- Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance
- 13+ years of hands-on experience in Oracle PL/SQL development
- Strong expertise in SQL and PL/SQL programming
- Experience with Oracle 11g/12c/19c databases
- Strong knowledge of performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing
- Experience with data modeling and database design concepts
- Hands-on experience with packages, procedures, functions, triggers, and cursors
- Experience with data migration, ETL processes, and large data volumes
- Familiarity with Unix/Linux shell scripting
- Experience working in Agile and Waterfall environments
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field
