OVERVIEW

Alo is looking for a dedicated, driven, proactive and inspired individual to assist the Product Development Team. The candidate’s responsibility is to provide support from inception to completion of the product line and take ownership of all samples throughout each season. The responsibility of this individual will be to ensure that all samples requested are managed, tracked, and properly stored in the most organized way possible. Time management and organization is key to this role. The ideal candidate will have an apparel education with an understanding of textiles and working knowledge of Excel. This is a fast-paced environment, we’re looking for someone with the ability to multi-task and approach problems creatively.

The Alo internship programs starts June 8th and ends July 31st. Interns will be working 40 hours a week at our Commerce office.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coordinate salesman samples tracking and organizing
• Manage receipt of Proto samples through SMS
• Close working relationship with Merch, Creative, PR, Tech Design, Production, and overseas vendors as needed
• Responsible for tracking, storing, hanging SMS by season
• Communicate with PD team on sample delays
• Prepare, send, receive sample packages via DHL
• Learn PLM system and help with general style / color maintenance
• Filling, packing, lifting boxes and general office maintenance
  
  

Requirements

• Current student pursuing a degree in Textiles, Fashion, or a related field
• Entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to juggle multiple projects at once
• Natural self-starter and problem solver with a growth mindset
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• A team first mentality with a positive attitude
• Proficient in Microsoft office; excel, powerpoint, outlook
• Strong attention to detail, good communication, and basic Excel skills.
• Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing work environment
  
  

The compensation for this position is $25 per hour
