We value collaboration, creativity, and technical excellence, providing engineers with the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies from concept development through deployment.

The Role

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer, Robotics Hardware to support the design, development, integration, and testing of robotic systems and hardware platforms. In this role, you will be responsible for creating mechanical designs, integrating electromechanical components, and supporting the development of robust, manufacturable robotic products.

The ideal candidate has strong mechanical design experience, a systems-oriented mindset, and a passion for developing innovative hardware solutions in a fast-paced engineering environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop mechanical systems, assemblies, and components for robotic platforms and related hardware.
  • Create detailed 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, and technical documentation.
  • Perform mechanical analysis, tolerance studies, and design trade-offs to optimize performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
  • Integrate mechanical, electrical, sensor, actuator, and control system components into complete robotic assemblies.
  • Collaborate closely with electrical, software, controls, manufacturing, and systems engineering teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Support prototype development, assembly, and validation activities.
  • Develop and execute test plans to evaluate mechanical performance, durability, reliability, and environmental robustness.
  • Troubleshoot hardware issues, conduct root cause analyses, and implement corrective actions.
  • Support component selection, supplier engagement, and design-for-manufacturing (DFM) initiatives.
  • Participate in design reviews and contribute to system architecture and product development decisions.
  • Manage engineering documentation, bills of materials (BOMs), and configuration-controlled design data.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering processes, tools, and design methodologies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Robotics Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 3+ years of experience in mechanical design, product development, robotics, automation, or related engineering fields.
  • Proficiency with 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, Creo, CATIA, NX, or similar platforms.
  • Experience designing mechanical assemblies, structures, mechanisms, and electromechanical systems.
  • Understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals including materials, manufacturing processes, tolerance analysis, and structural design.
  • Experience integrating hardware components such as motors, actuators, sensors, gearboxes, bearings, and control hardware.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience supporting prototype builds and hardware testing activities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, or a related field.
  • Experience developing robotic systems, autonomous platforms, industrial automation equipment, or advanced electromechanical products.
  • Familiarity with finite element analysis (FEA), dynamic simulation, or motion analysis tools.
  • Experience with design for manufacturing (DFM), design for assembly (DFA), and product lifecycle management (PLM) processes.
  • Knowledge of precision mechanisms, drivetrain design, motion control systems, and actuator integration.
  • Experience working with rapid prototyping technologies, including additive manufacturing and CNC machining.
  • Familiarity with environmental, vibration, shock, and reliability testing.
  • Experience supporting new product introduction (NPI) and manufacturing scale-up activities.
  • Knowledge of applicable industry standards and safety requirements for robotic systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical projects and mentor junior engineers.
