Reports To: CEO | Type: Full-Time, Remote | Compensation: Base + GP Carry

You are already doing this job.
You are a President, Managing Director, or senior fund leader at a real estate firm. You raise capital. You manage investor relationships. You evaluate deals and lead teams. You know how a fund is supposed to operate because you are operating one.
The question isn't whether you are qualified. The question is whether the economics reflect it.
If you are building someone else's fund — raising their capital, growing their AUM, making their LP base more valuable — and the carry you hold is a fraction of what the founders earn, this conversation is worth having.

ABOUT FREEDOM FAMILY INVESTMENTS
Freedom Family Investments is a private equity real estate firm with operational roots. We built and ran our own property management and renovation operations before evolving into a primarily allocator-driven model — and we kept the people. Our in-house team gives us the ability to operate multifamily assets directly in our core markets. Outside our specialty and geography, we partner with best-in-class operators to execute institutional-quality acquisitions across multifamily, senior housing, and self-storage.
We are investors first. But we understand operations from the inside — and that makes us better capital partners.
We have over $50M in assets under management, an active deal pipeline that includes a $16M senior housing opportunity and an $86M institutional acquisition, and an established LP base we are scaling toward $100M in Fund 1. Our structure is clean: investors receive their preferred return first; FFI earns the upside above that. It is a straightforward, investor-aligned model that is easy to stand behind in any LP conversation.
We operate with senior-level guidance from a mentor who built a real estate fund from tens of millions to tens of billions in AUM. That path is proven. We are executing it deliberately, and the person in this seat grows with the platform.

THE ROLE
The Managing Partner owns capital formation and fund operations, and reports directly to the CEO.
This is not a lateral move. It is a step into GP-level ownership of a platform with active deal flow, existing investors, and a clear growth trajectory. You bring the skill set you have already built. You do the work you are already doing. The difference is that this time, the carry is yours.
Capital Formation
• Lead LP fundraising across private equity fund vehicles, debt funds, and syndications
• Own the full investor lifecycle: sourcing, conversion, onboarding, retention, and referrals
• Represent FFI to HNW individuals, family offices, and institutional capital partners
• Build and maintain the investor relationships that compound across every fund we raise
Fund Operations
• Evaluate allocation opportunities and fund structures in partnership with the CEO
• Lead the team across investor relations, acquisitions, finance, and operations
• Ensure all fund communications and operations meet regulatory and compliance standards
• Build the reporting infrastructure and processes that support institutional-grade scale
───────────────────────────────────────────────
WHAT WE REQUIRE
• 12–20+ years in real estate fund management, private equity, or capital markets
• Direct experience with multifamily, self-storage, senior housing, or comparable income-producing asset classes, you understand how these deals are sourced, structured, and operated
• A personal track record of raising LP capital, you have been materially responsible for closing commitments from family offices, institutional investors, or HNW individuals
• A demonstrated track record of building and scaling an organization, teams, processes, investor base, not just working inside one. You should be able to walk us through this in detail.
• Fluency in how allocator-model real estate firms evaluate operators and structure investments
• Comfort with modern fund management technology and AI-assisted workflows, CRM, investor portals, reporting tools, and a genuine willingness to evaluate and adopt new systems as they improve
• Series 65 or Series 7: current, or committed to obtaining within 60–90 days
───────────────────────────────────────────────
COMPENSATION
• Base Salary: Real, and scaled to where FFI is today, this is not the reason to have this conversation. The GP carry is.
• GP Carry: Significant, negotiated interest in Fund 1 and future funds. This is the real number, and we will discuss it specifically in conversation
• Remote: With travel for investor meetings and relationship-building

HOW YOU WORK
FFI is a building-stage firm. There is no fully built machine to step into, you will be creating infrastructure, not inheriting it. That means leading by action more than title, moving fast when priorities shift, and operating with integrity when no one is watching.
The right person for this role has done this before. You have built teams from scratch. You have built an investor base from the ground up. You have figured out problems that did not have a playbook. You are comfortable in ambiguity, organized enough to hold it all together at speed, and the kind of leader people follow because of how you show up, not because of your org chart position.
If that is how you have operated throughout your career, you will be able to prove it. We will ask.
We are actively building and improving our technology stack, including AI integration across operations and investor relations. The right person sees technology as a lever, not a burden.
