Our client is seeking a Government Managing Partner who brings a depth of experience and expertise in developing and maintaining key client relationships, leading complex county and municipal projects and overseeing and mentoring project teams.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Government Managing Partner will be an entrepreneurial and collaborative senior leader, highly skilled in client and project leadership, and development of complex County and Municipal projects including Courts, City Hall, County Administration, Land Use Planning, Law Enforcement, Corrections, and Fire Stations. They will ensure a smooth workflow throughout all phases of the planning, design, documentation, and construction process. The firm’s strengths lie in the integration of architecture, landscape architecture and engineering. The Government Managing Partner is a key leader within the Government Practice nationwide and will collaborate with other government practice leaders and specialist in law enforcement, fire/ems, public safety and justice.


With exceptional skills at building long-term relationships, the Government Managing Partner will be actively involved with marketing and business development efforts to engage new clients and manage existing client relationships in Greater Dallas, regionally, and nationally. They will manage the full scope of project responsibilities with a focus on design management and project performance/ profitability. Adept with the big picture and the smallest details, the Government Managing Partner will have proven client and project leadership experience and firsthand knowledge of the building types within a county and municipal real estate portfolio. They will have the ability to lead across projects of multiple scales and share this knowledge and expertise as a mentor to junior and intermediate talent.


SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Architecture and Licensure required, LEED AP preferred.
  • 15-20+ years progressive project experience and leadership on complex county and municipal projects, inclusive of new construction and renovation/restoration
  • Experience with all phases of projects including successful experience navigating and interacting with planning boards and review boards.
  • Motivated to lead client development and relationship management efforts, cultivating strategic partnerships that drive business growth, repeat work, and long-term client satisfaction.
  • Proven ability to present information and respond quickly to inquiries from managers, clients, the community and general public.
  • Proven fiscal accountability and responsibility, and an understanding of market forces pertaining to fees, scope, and schedule requirements.
