Job Description

The Lead Talent Acquisition Recruiter is responsible for coordinating and executing recruitment efforts for faculty positions across departments within Tulane School of Medicine. This is a newly established function within the School of Medicine, and the office is expected to grow as the need expand. This role is critical to supporting clinical, research and academic operations. The recruiter will work closely with department chairs and administrative leadership, medical staff, faculty affairs, hospital partners, and HR colleagues to manage the full-cycle recruitment process from job posting through offer acceptance and onboarding.

Responsibilities

  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex searches simultaneously across subspecialties
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field
  • 8+ years of recruitment experience or customer service experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration or related field.
  • 3 years Physician recruitment experience
  • Experience in a school of medicine / academic medicine enviornment
  • Familiarity of academic appointment structures, clinical faculty recruitment, and medical staff processes
  • Recruitment experience within a hospital, academic medical center, or physician practice system
  • Knowledge of medical staff bylaws, credentialing standards, and GME structures
  • Familiarity with immigration sponsorship processes for clinical roles
