Pay Rate Low: 25 | Pay Rate High: 28

An established and growing Medical Device company is seeking a Lab Technician to support reagent manufacturing and research & development activities. This role includes leading day-to-day laboratory production tasks while ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs), quality standards, and regulatory requirements.

Located in Houston, TX

Type: Contract (Up to 1 year)

Pay: $24-$27/hr

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform manufacturing and laboratory activities in accordance with established procedures and quality standards
  • Conduct routine quality checks and document results following good documentation practices
  • Execute molecular biology techniques with accuracy and consistency
  • Review data, identify discrepancies, and escalate deviations as needed
  • Maintain production records, test documentation, and laboratory logs
  • Support inventory management, including receiving, stocking, and organizing materials
  • Perform routine cleaning, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting of laboratory equipment
  • Assist with equipment qualifications, process validation activities, and method improvements
  • Contribute to technical documentation updates, SOP revisions, and controlled forms
  • Participate in investigations related to process or product issues
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve technical challenges and improve workflows
  • Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and company standards

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline required
  • 1+ years of relevant laboratory or manufacturing experience preferred
  • Experience in manufacturing, wet lab, and/or GMP-regulated environments preferred
  • Familiarity with laboratory equipment operation, maintenance, and aseptic techniques
