Our challenge:

We are seeking a highly skilled Informatica Developer to join our Data Engineering and Integration team supporting enterprise-wide data transformation initiatives within the Banking and Financial Services domain. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable ETL solutions using Informatica PowerCenter/IICS, enabling efficient data movement, integration, and reporting across multiple platforms.

The candidate will play a critical role in delivering high-quality data solutions, supporting regulatory reporting, data warehouse modernization, cloud migration initiatives, and enterprise analytics programs. This position requires strong expertise in ETL development, data integration, performance optimization, and database technologies.

Additional Information

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with applicable laws, the expected base salary range for this role if filled within Charlotte, NC is $95K - $105K/year & benefits (see below).

The Role

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support ETL workflows using Informatica PowerCenter and/or Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS).
• Create and maintain mappings, mapplets, workflows, worklets, and reusable components.
• Analyze source systems and develop source-to-target mapping documents.
• Develop data integration solutions across multiple databases and enterprise applications.
• Perform data extraction, transformation, validation, and loading activities.
• Optimize ETL jobs for scalability, performance, and reliability.
• Implement data quality, reconciliation, and validation rules.
• Troubleshoot ETL failures and resolve production support issues.
• Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and stakeholders to gather requirements.
• Participate in data warehouse design and dimensional modeling activities.
• Support cloud migration and modernization initiatives involving Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Develop SQL queries, procedures, and scripts for data processing and analysis.
• Conduct unit, integration, and system testing for ETL solutions.
• Ensure compliance with enterprise data governance and security standards.
• Support regulatory, risk, and finance reporting initiatives.
• Maintain technical documentation, deployment processes, and operational procedures.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Work closely with offshore and onshore teams to ensure timely project delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 7+ years of experience in ETL Development and Data Integration.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Informatica PowerCenter and/or Informatica IICS.
• Strong experience in data warehousing concepts and ETL methodologies.
• Advanced SQL skills and experience working with large-scale datasets.
• Experience with Oracle, SQL Server, Teradata, DB2, or PostgreSQL databases.
• Strong understanding of source-to-target mappings and data transformation techniques.
• Experience developing complex ETL workflows and reusable integration frameworks.
• Knowledge of performance tuning and optimization techniques within Informatica.
• Familiarity with Unix/Linux shell scripting.
• Experience with scheduling and monitoring tools.
• Understanding of data quality, metadata management, and data governance principles.
• Experience working within Banking, Financial Services, Insurance, or Capital Markets environments.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments.

Preferred, but not Required

• Experience with Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS).
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Knowledge of data lake and big data technologies.
• Experience with regulatory reporting and financial data processing.
• Familiarity with Snowflake, Databricks, or BigQuery.
• Informatica Developer or Informatica Cloud certifications.
• Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, and automation frameworks.
• Exposure to Master Data Management (MDM) and Data Governance solutions
