National Account Manager – Foodservice

We're partnering with a leading food manufacturer that develops custom solutions for national restaurant chains, foodservice operators, and other strategic customers. With multiple manufacturing facilities across the U.S. and a strong reputation for quality, innovation, and customer partnership, this organization is experiencing continued growth and is looking to add a National Account Manager to its Foodservice team.
This role can be based in Dallas, TX, Nashville, TN, or Denver, CO.
In this role, you'll be responsible for developing and growing strategic relationships with national restaurant chain customers. Acting as a trusted business partner, you'll lead customer initiatives from concept through commercialization while collaborating closely with R&D, Operations, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Customer Service to deliver customized solutions that drive growth for both the customer and the business.
Success in this role comes from identifying new business opportunities, managing complex customer projects, and developing long-term strategic partnerships.
You'll develop and execute strategic account plans that align with long-term business objectives while building strong relationships with key decision-makers across national restaurant chain accounts. You'll identify opportunities to expand existing partnerships, win new business, and deliver solutions that support your customers' growth initiatives.
Working cross-functionally is a critical component of this role. You'll partner with R&D, Operations, Marketing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Customer Service to manage projects from initial concept through commercialization, ensuring a seamless customer experience and successful product launches. You'll also maintain an active sales pipeline, provide accurate forecasting, and deliver profitable revenue growth while balancing customer needs with business objectives.
The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field and at least five years of experience managing national foodservice chain accounts. Previous experience selling for a food manufacturer is strongly preferred.
We're looking for someone with a proven track record of developing strategic customer relationships, managing complex sales cycles, and collaborating across multiple functions to bring products to market. Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and project management skills are essential, along with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
Travel: Approximately 40%, depending on customer and business needs.
