Build Something. Lead Something. Own Something.

We're seeking an Engineering Manager who can do more than manage people.

This is a hands-on technical leadership role for an experienced engineer who understands hydraulic systems, fluid dynamics, pumping systems, and piping networks—and who wants to help build an engineering function from the ground up.

You'll lead a growing team of engineers while remaining heavily involved in hydraulic modeling, system analysis, process development, equipment selection, and technical problem-solving. This is an opportunity to join a rapidly growing organization where your decisions will directly influence engineering standards, project execution, and company growth.

If you're looking for layers of corporate bureaucracy, this isn't it.

If you're energized by solving difficult problems, building processes, mentoring engineers, and taking ownership of high-impact projects, we'd like to talk.

What You'll Be Doing

🔹 Technical Leadership

  • Lead and mentor a growing engineering team while remaining actively involved in project execution.
  • Establish engineering standards, methodologies, calculations, and best practices.
  • Develop scalable processes that improve consistency, quality, and execution.
  • Serve as the primary technical resource for engineering-related decisions.

🔹 Hydraulic Modeling & System Analysis

  • Develop hydraulic models to support planning, estimating, and project execution.
  • Perform flow velocity, pressure drop, pump head, and system performance calculations.
  • Evaluate complex piping and pumping systems to identify constraints and optimize performance.
  • Develop flushing strategies that achieve required cleanliness and velocity standards.

🔹 Engineering & Project Support

  • Review technical requirements, specifications, and project scopes.
  • Support project teams with troubleshooting and complex technical problem-solving.
  • Assist with development of project-specific execution plans and procedures.
  • Participate in customer discussions involving technical scope and engineering methodology.

🔹 Process & Team Development

  • Help build and scale the engineering function as the company continues to grow.
  • Develop tools, workflows, and technical resources that improve project execution.
  • Train and develop engineers while creating a culture of accountability and technical excellence.
  • Lead by example through both technical expertise and hands-on involvement.

What We're Looking For

Required

  • Engineering leadership or management experience with direct reports.
  • Strong understanding of hydraulic systems, fluid dynamics, and piping systems.
  • Experience performing hydraulic calculations including flow velocity, pressure drop, and pump analysis.
  • Experience with pumps, valves, filtration systems, and mechanical process equipment.
  • Ability to mentor engineers and develop technical processes.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to make sound decisions in high-consequence environments.

Preferred

  • Background in industrial, process, mechanical, water treatment, energy, mission-critical infrastructure, manufacturing, chemical processing, or related industries.
  • Experience with hydraulic modeling software and system simulation tools.
  • Experience developing engineering standards, workflows, and technical procedures.
  • Exposure to cooling systems, water treatment, flushing, passivation, or temporary mechanical systems.

Why This Opportunity Stands Out

This isn't a traditional engineering management position where you'll spend your days reviewing reports and sitting in meetings.

You'll be helping lead projects involving high-velocity water systems operating around mission-critical infrastructure where precision, reliability, and engineering judgment matter.

We're looking for someone who takes ownership, enjoys solving complex technical challenges, and wants to play a major role in building something special.

If you're the type of engineer who enjoys rolling up your sleeves, leading from the front, and helping accelerate the growth of a company, you'll fit right in.
