Cyber Security Specialist

Our client, a global investment bank, is looking for a Cyber Security Specialist to join their security operations function. This role sits at the intersection of monitoring, investigation, and proactive defense — ideal for someone who thrives on staying ahead of attackers in a high-stakes, regulated environment.

What You'll Do

• Hunt for threats and investigate vulnerabilities to catch risks before they escalate
• Triage and respond to security alerts using modern SIEM tooling
• Build and refine detection rules and alerting logic to sharpen monitoring capability
• Turn raw threat intel into clear, actionable guidance for the business
• Deliver reporting and metrics that give leadership real visibility into the threat landscape
• Partner with technology, business, and global security teams to strengthen cyber resilience

What You Bring

• Background in security operations, monitoring, or incident response
• Hands-on skills in threat investigation, vulnerability assessment, and intel analysis
• Comfort working in SIEM environments (Splunk experience a plus)
• Familiarity with security tools like Proofpoint or Microsoft Defender for Endpoint
• Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, IT, Engineering, or related field
• Practical, responsible use of AI tools to boost efficiency and problem-solving
• Sharp analytical instincts and strong communication skills — technical and non-technical audiences alike
• Exposure to IAM, GRC, or vulnerability management
• Certs like Security+, CISSP, CASP, or CAP
• Experience collaborating across global, fast-moving, regulated environments
