Upserve is a leading restaurant technology and commerce platform serving thousands of small and mid-sized businesses through integrated software, payments, and financial solutions. Backed by Skyview Equity, Upserve is entering its next phase of growth and transformation. The company has a strong foundation, an established customer base, and a unique opportunity to accelerate growth by deepening customer engagement, expanding monetization, and building a more comprehensive software and financial services ecosystem for restaurant operators. We are seeking a Chief Executive Officer to lead this next chapter.



About the Role



This is not a maintenance CEO role. We are looking for a builder, operator, and business leader who understands how to scale vertical SaaS platforms, expand payments and financial services adoption, and create durable value through disciplined execution. The ideal candidate has experience leading software-enabled businesses serving small and medium-sized businesses and understands how to leverage payments, embedded finance, lending, banking, or other financial products to drive customer value and revenue growth. This leader will partner closely with Skyview Equity and the Board to accelerate growth, improve operating performance, strengthen organizational accountability, and position the company for long-term value creation.



Responsibilities



  • Strategic Leadership
  • Develop and execute a clear growth strategy aligned with the company's long-term vision.
  • Identify opportunities to expand platform capabilities, customer engagement, and revenue streams.
  • Evaluate new business models, partnerships, and adjacent growth opportunities.
  • Commercial Growth & Monetization
  • Accelerate growth across software, payments, and financial products.
  • Improve customer acquisition, retention, and lifetime value.
  • Drive pricing, packaging, and monetization initiatives.
  • Expand adoption of payments and embedded financial services solutions.
  • Operational Excellence
  • Build a high-performance operating culture centered around accountability, transparency, and execution.
  • Establish clear operating rhythms, KPIs, and performance management systems.
  • Scale the organization while maintaining operational discipline.
  • Product & Customer Strategy
  • Partner closely with product and technology leaders to align product investment with customer needs and business outcomes.
  • Drive innovation that strengthens customer engagement and platform differentiation.
  • Ensure the company delivers exceptional value to restaurant operators and small business customers.
  • Leadership & Organizational Development
  • Build, develop, and lead an exceptional executive team.
  • Attract top talent and create a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Align teams around shared objectives and measurable outcomes.
  • Investor & Board Partnership
  • Serve as the primary partner to Skyview Equity and the Board.
  • Communicate performance, priorities, opportunities, and risks with clarity and transparency.
  • Drive sustainable value creation and prepare the business for future strategic outcomes.




Qualifications



  • Proven track record leading and scaling software, payments, fintech, or technology-enabled businesses.
  • Significant P&L ownership experience.
  • Experience driving revenue growth through software and financial products.
  • Deep understanding of SMB customers and platform economics.
  • Experience operating in private equity-backed, venture-backed, or high-growth environments.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational development capabilities.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.



Required Skills



  • Experience in vertical SaaS.
  • Expertise in payments and embedded finance.
  • Strong background in banking and money movement.
  • Knowledge of merchant services and fintech.
  • Experience with SMB software platforms and commerce technology.
  • Familiarity with financial technology.



Preferred Skills



  • Experience as a Chief Executive Officer, President, General Manager, Business Unit Leader, Head of Payments, Head of Banking, or P&L Leader.
