About the role - Hybrid Account Manager (Private Markets)
This Hybrid Account Manager role sits between account management, customer success, and commercial growth.
You’ll own relationships with institutional investment teams, guide customers through onboarding and adoption, and identify opportunities to expand usage across the firm. You’ll manage engagements end-to-end—from initial conversations and training through to embedding the platform into live deal workflows.
You’ll work directly with senior investment professionals, translating their existing processes (often Excel-based) into a modern, scalable system. This role is well suited for someone who enjoys staying close to the deal process but wants to help build and scale a technology business.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage relationships across a portfolio of institutional investment clients and active prospects
- Lead onboarding, training, and workflow design for new teams adopting the platform
- Act as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the lifecycle, from initial rollout through expansion
- Partner with senior investment professionals to understand their workflows and identify areas of deeper value
- Proactively uncover expansion opportunities by staying close to deal teams and usage patterns
- Support early-stage conversations with new firms evaluating the platform, from first introduction to successful deployment
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product and engineering to feed real-world client insight into roadmap decisions
- Develop deep expertise in private markets workflows, financial modeling, and how software improves deal execution
What We’re Looking For
- 2–4+ years of experience in private equity, investment banking, or a closely related finance role
- Strong grounding in financial modeling and deal analysis, with a clear understanding of private markets workflows
- Comfort owning client relationships and operating in a customer-facing role
- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate customer feedback into actionable insights
- Clear, confident communicator capable of engaging senior investment professionals
- Curious, proactive, and comfortable in a fast-moving, early-stage environment
- Exposure to financial software or technology platforms is a plus
